My dietitian says stop the coffee and my surgeon says it's okay. So, I drink 1 cup in the morning.

My Costco Priemier Protein shakes are 11 oz for 30g protein each. I drinbk the whole thing after freezing for 45 minutes. A smoothie!

Any carbed fast food should be eliminated. Better healthy choices, a small salad with vingar /oil and a broiled chicken breast would be better. Most hot dogs have lots of preseratives and fatty meats, also the starchy bread. Then if you put relish, catsup, mustard on it, lots of sugar may be involved. The band won't tell you what to eat! Best wishes on better healthy choices.

I believe it's too soon for a band slip, unless the surgeon screwed up. We all heal differently and most of us take time to heal. Also the band may feel tighter in the morning too some. This has been discussed here on this forum. Stay on course with your doctor's appointment. It's important that you include him in anything that has changed since surgery date. Best wishes

Keeping It A Secret
Rojasanoll replied to 4sweeties's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I told my immediate fellow workers and my boss what I was going to try. Only one gentleman in the group, spoke to me personally and said he didn't think it was safe and a good idea. The rest were thumbs up and gave me their blessings pre and post surgery. Now after 2 months or soon (Aug 6 band date) all the guys have seen my results of weight loss and have invited me to lunch places where they know I can select healthy food choices. They have now been all supportive of me. Best wishes and Keep the Faith. -
Confirmed! Leak Not My Imagination

Prayer's and well wishes for all "banders" who have had the band quit working. They all sound like defects to me and should be replaced by insurances. Diabetes, High Blood pressure and maybe conary heart disease will cost the insurance companies alot more money than replaceing the band for a second/third time. Best wishes -
Well I'm way over 40 but if you want to chat, Hollar!

Hello From Seattle!
Rojasanoll replied to LapBandit2013's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Start exercising by short walks and biking on good weather days. Try and eat leaner foods, you can use Protein shakes and lots of salad for positive weight control. Be patient on your weight loss, it took a long time to get out of shape and unhealthy. Be positive in all your actions and try and remember that a new You is about to begin. Chat with others who have gone to Mexico and had the surgery. Try and find out any helpful tips/processes that you have to do or should do. They have gone through it already. Best wishes and keep the Faith. Best wishes and Keep the Faith. -

costco Premier Protein shake (chocolate) I put in the freezer for 40 minutes or so. It comes out like a shake or thick smoothie. Maddy hit right on what you can do. Mentally prepare yourself that you are still on track for surgery and start eating leaner and better. I lost 34 pounds prior to surgery (less than 2 months) by drinking Protein shakes and eating a dinner salad with chicken or tuna. I exercised some, but not alot. Whether surgery comes soon or not, try and keep a good mental attitude and your health will improve in the waiting game. I would appeal it and have your family doctor sight any health issues that could be eliminated by having the surgery. Your family doctor can help with appeal. Best wishes and I hope something good comes your way soon.

Tomorrow 10:30Am Is My Moment.
Rojasanoll replied to vms1908's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Best wishes on your surgery. It's relatively easy for a good surgeon. Mine was less than 40 minutes and a couple of hours in hospital then outpatient for my band. Be positive today and keep the faith. Your new journey begins.... -

Your all doing great on your weight loss. Keep it up.

When I started I crushed all my meds and I've only had one fill. Now I take all pills whole without any problems. I take lots of water.
-
A little bit South of you (about 300 miles). Santa Barbara County.
-
I use 2 times a week treadmill and my air resistance stationary bike. The bike is much easier on my worn out knees. I use Futuro knee wraps while exercising. Also use leg weights on my ankles when I walk.
