    All Done!!

Congratulations. Walks are very important and use a heating pad on your back and I even put it on my shoulder discomfort to help alleviate the gas. I was lucky and only had the gas overnight. I drove my car the next day to a weight loss support group meeting at my local hospital. Best wishes and Keep the Faith.

    First Work Out

Since everybody exercises differently, I guess my first exercise after the band was having a round of sex with a friend.

    Can You Skull/gulp Water?

My doctor after a fill only wants 24 hours of liquids as a big precaution. Then the next day start Stg 1 for a couple of days, then Stg 2 for the next 2 days. Then I'm ok to eat regularly.
  5. I have had only 2 fills and I have a total 4.5cc in a 14cc band. But the doctor is starting to hesitate in any more fills because he only wants me too lose no morfe than 2 pounds a week. This will allow me to eat wise and properly over a longer period of train. To retrain my brain and change my eating habits. I don't know if I'm close to a green zone or not, but he likes my weight loss so far. Guess I'm doing something right.

    Just Got Banded On Monday!

You are still healing and when you're in this state you will not lose much weight. Be patient! It will drop off once you heal and watch your diet. Sip your Water and drink plenty of water. Take the amount of Protein you are suppose to get. All doctors state different requirements. Best wishes

    Confession Time

Guess I've had an easier time so far. I haven't driven or been inside a fast food place since before June18 when I started my diet and thinking about lapband. I lost 34 pounds prior to my band date on Aug 6. Yes I crave certain things that I really wanted but at my age I've been doing this for many years. So for me, I just stay away and try and eat very healthy food types. If I think I ate too much in one day, I get back the next day on breakfast/lunch 1 Protein shake each meal, then a small dinner salad with vingar/oil and a broiled chicken breast. At night if I have to snack, SF popsicles or SF Jello. But you went back on track and a new healthy you will be there in the near future. Best wishes and Keep the Faith

Almost all of us here have had issues with weight control and this extra weight has caused some of us, health issues as well. Best wishes
  12. Congratulations so far on your weight loss. It takea awhile before we start feeling real good and this process of losing weight is not a quick one. My doctor after I get to the green zone, he wants me to lose no more than 2 pounds per week. This helps teach me to eat better and healthier. We all have to re-learn how to eat and make better choices on what we stick in our mouths. Are you taking all your vitamins/minerals? Are you drinking 64 oz of Water each day. When people get dehydrated they tend to get lazy and slow. Is your potassium level good? Have you asked another doctor for a second opinion? MIght try this. Best wishes
  13. Congratulations of all your first fills. It usually takes several fills before enough restriction will occur. My second fill is scheduled tomorrow Oct 30. I got 1.5cc on my first fill and when the doctor installed the band on Aug 6, he pre filled the band with 1.5cc. I haven't felt the fills so far and it's not a hurtful thing. After the fill my doctor gives me Water to drink and asks me if it is difficult or not. All people handle their fills differently but I ahve a Allergan 14cc band with 3 cc so far. Maybe when it gets closer to half way full I'll start too feel full longer. Best wishes

OMG. Wow! I've done a crime. Please, please arrest me, Officer! So beautiful and very sexy. You deserve a Big California Hug.
  15. Try and get back on track like you just had surgery. For two weeks do Protein shakes, Breakfast and lunch, then a light meal for dinner. The progress to soft/mushy foods like the 4 stages we are to follow. Best wishes and Good Luck

    Hello

Try not too overeat. If you don't stop in time, you will never forget the discomfort you will receive. You should be eating mushy/soft foods and not so solid. This will help with a longterm healing process in the stomach area. Best wishes

    Being Banded In The Morning!!

Many walks even inside the house. Use the heating pad on your lower back and shoulder area. It helps alleviate any gas. I even put it on my breast bone area because I had more discomfort with the hernia repair. And the heating pad seemed to help relax the tissues and muscles. SIP plenty of Water. Take your meds as prescribed, don't tough it out during recovery. Hugs and prayers for all recently banded.

    Getting Banded November 7Th

Be tough and prepare your liver by eating what your surgeon has recommended. I went on Protein shakes and small dinner salads witrh broiled chicken breast for my three meals. Then I switched to tuna every now and then. sugar free jellos and SF popsicles help at night. Start taking a good mix of multi-Vitamins and minerals to fortify your body. Start practicing chewing your food 25 times before swallowing if you're allowed solid food. Some doctors dont require liquids only up to 5 days and counting. I did mine almost 2 months ahead of surgery to lose some weight, teach myself eating habits and sipping Water 60 minutes after eating. You will have to do all of this after surgery. Get a list of foods allowed by your doctor after surgery and purchase them now. (clear broths, baby oatmeal, apple sauces). Have gas-x chewables, heating pad available. Best wishes and Good Luck on your new journey.

    Getting Banded This Thursday- Question

I was very alert and coherent immediately after surgery. In fact, I out-walked my nurse in the hallway a few times. I think she was pissed at me. I got home and rested that night with heating pad in case of gas spells. I drove my car the next morning and went and got a cup of coffee. Next day I attended a weight reduction seminar at my local hospital. Everybody handles the surgery differently. Best wishes
