Beetracy replied to timetobefree's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hello fellow Novemeber sleevers! Do you think that I am on the super slow end of loosing or am I more normal than I think? Thanks for your input! I am 8 pounds to being under 200 pounds which is super exciting but I'm concerned about my pace I seem to get stuck for long periods of time and fluctuate a lot. Thanks again! And go Niners! Sleeved on 11/23/12 Surgery weight: 240 BMi: 37.6 Today's weight: 208.4 Bmi: 32.7 Total loss: 31.6 pounds in 2 months and a week and a half. -
Try canned tuna or chicken, string cheese, eggs, pot roast, beans. At 4 weeks I made a tuna salad, covered it in cheese and baked and ate it. It was so good! Eat slow, start small, and take your time and you'll be fine!

Seriously struggling with getting my protein
Beetracy replied to jcsleeved2013's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Try the light and fit Greek yogurt 2 times the protein they are 12 grams of protein! what week are you? Ground turkey is great and soft also canned chicken or tuna and string cheese. If you had 1 Greek yogurt, 2 string cheeses and a can of chicken or tuna you would be at 62 grams of protein for the day! -
Seriously struggling with getting my protein
Beetracy replied to jcsleeved2013's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I stopped trying, everyone once in a while I'll have a rough day anf add a shake but now get my protein in without shakes. It's not as difficult as it sounds. My doctor also told me that it is preferable. I snack on beef jerkey and eat only high protein foods and I am at or above 60 everyday! -

I was 1 month out yesterday! -
The process of healing from infidelity is incredibly painful. I know I've been through it and am in some ways still recovering. I would be cautious of change without doing the work. The work suchs! It hurts. But if you are both committed to the marriage and willing to go through the pain and do the work there is hope. I highly recommend two books one is just for you called Love Must Be Tough By Dobson and the other is a workbook for both of you called Torn Asunder by David Carter, if he's not willing to do the workbook, you have a problem. He should be willing to do WHATEVER it takes.I know what the pull to forget and move on feels like but the pain of infidelity cuts deep and honestly took me months to climb out of the pit of the pain. I too moved on from infidelity too quickly the first time only to find myself in the same place 2 years later with a husband who had been lying and faking his way in our marriage for that time. Fighting for a marriage in this situation is admirable and brave, so glad that you are willing to do so, but it is not easy it takes deep conviction, resolve and includes excruciatingly hard work, or at least it did for me. Now my families future is secure! I hope yours will be too.

All doctors are different. Also, mine didn't tell me about what he wanted me to do until my final check up before surgery. So, maybe she/he hasn't told you yet. -

So, I am 12 days out of surgery and for me in a week of full liquids which started last Friday. The first week I did great for all my fluids in and by the end of it I could eat a cup of broth, without a problem. Then week 2 started and while I struggled the first day to get my protein in the next 3 I was able to 60 or above without too much trouble, in fact on day 10 from surgery day I got 600 calories in! Then comes yesterday, day 11 and I can't eat ANYTHING! I tried a protein shake couldn't finish but a 4th of it and I felt sick, I tried unflavored protein in a smooth soup got two bits in and felt sick, I tried a greek yogurt bar, which i had been anle to eat all of a few days ago, got a 4th into it and same thing. Everything hurt going down and made me nauseous. End result is after walking yesterday I had a net calories of 28 and only 20 grams of protein. I feel exhausted and frustrated! What am I doing wrong? Do I force it down even though it might make me ill? Is it ok for some days to not be a protein success? I don't want my body to eat my muscle! I just feel like a failure for not doing my one post op job and exhausted from trying so hard to no avail!

Hello Guys! I am day 9 today and totally took a turn for the worst! I was doing great and getting my energy back. Yesterday I got all my protein in and walked for an hour and felt like myself again. Then this morning I had so much pain and was exhausted! Slept most of the day and I feel like poo! Struggled to get my protein in and finally broke down and went to smoothie king to get up to my 60. Is it normal to fluctuate so much energy and pain wise? Anyway, on another note I have lost weight. I am 29 and 5'7 Day of surgery: 240 1 week out: 226.8 - 13.2 pounds down Day 9 today: 222.8- 17.2 pounds down -
2 Weeks Post Op & Really Struggling Today
Beetracy replied to jkfjdohio's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am on my second week as well, day 9 and I feel ya! Remember it's just a few days and then we can eat so much more. Try creamed soups make them with milk and you get protien, they are really good! Also add a scoop of peanut butter into a chocolate shake it really shakes up the flavor! We can do it!!! Just a few more days!!! Drink water chew a sugar free popcyle if you need texture! Alsi try Yasso Greek yogurt bars they are really good and have lots of protien. -
Ok guys I need help! How the heck am I suppose to get my protein in??? I am 8 days out and literally I can only get 1/4 of it down (if that) at a time and then I get so full! I am for the Rest of the week only on full liquids. Is it ok that I can't get it for this week? How hard should I try?? Thanks! By the way I am 15.2 pounds down 8 days out!
