Hardest Part About A "diet" For Me.
Beetracy replied to pandabear's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
If you ask the staff at a resturaunt to box up half before they bring it out, then you can give it to someone on the street. That's how I normally do it. Also ordering a la carte or most places with serve a lunch portion during dinner if you ask. Also finding other ways like splitting with a friend or sharing with your hubby or when we go out to eat as a family I give portions of my food to my kiddos that way it is not a wasted and I still eat just the right amount. I always look at a menu before going to the resturant online and think through my choices. -
I am so sorry for what you are facing it I the worst pain and most agonizing combination of emotions. I am sitting there with you right now. I have two kiddos 7 and 6 and an a**hole of a husband that I have been married to for almost 10 years. 2 years ago I discovered the first two of his adulterous betrayals and then on May 21st I once gain discovered his latest infidelity along with an old betrayal that occurred 2 years ago. The first two, one was a month long sexual relationship followed by a 5 year emotional one, was the most painful things I have ever felt. He also had a one night stand which hurt but not nearly as much. I forgave him and he was held accountable and we worke hard to move forward and rebuild your marriage. Then in May I found a condom in his wallet and it started all over again. You can never change him or make him be a better man but you can be strong and allow him to chose to be worthy of you. I made a lot of mistakes with the anger and depression and neediness the first time around that I have learned not to this time. I don't know of my marriage is going to last, because I have done my part and it is bitterly up to him I he will get the chance to be my husband go the rest of my life or not. Wether he gets to be with his children everyday and have the family that he deserves to lose. In that I find strength and power. I HIGHLY recommend that you read Love Must Be Tough By Charles Dobson. It's a fantastic book that will direct your emotions in a healthy and empowering outlets. May God bless you and keep you in this immensely difficult time! There is hope and IF restoration I what happens for you, your husband will never appreciate or love you more for your choice to forgive and restore him. He will cherish you in. Way that no other man can.

I too am interested as to why this occures. I am getting banded in September but my family and I live in a smaller town and travel by car quite a bit, from long to very long drives pretty regularly and this concerns me. Is there anything that can be done to prevent these symptoms? What is the cause? Thanks!

I am new here. I had my first visit with my surgeon yesterday and have most of my labs scheduled for Saturday. I am excited, though not everything is in place yet or official so far so good. I was concerened about hitting my weight to qualify but with heavy clothes and drinking a ton of water right before my appointment my BMI was above target at 37 at the doctor I weighed in at 230 but this morning I weighed 221. I was sure that it was going to take many months for this process to get started and that discourged me a little, but my doctor says that he thinks I will be banded in September which is fantastic! Is there anything I can do to expedite the process from those that have been through it? My pre-op program seems light compared to some that I have seen on here. I have to have 2 nutrition appoitments, 1 psych surgery clear, labs including ultrasound (all being done this Saturday) and get a paper from my doctor that documents my weight for the past 2 years and thats it. Let me know if there is anything that I can do or anything that I should be aware of to help get this thing done asap. Also is gallstones a concern? Is there medication that I can take to prevent getting them? Thanks! It's great to have a place to ask questions and get answers all while supporting eachother! So grateful to not feel alone in the process!
