Why Cant We Have Red Gatorade ?
Beetracy replied to azrrel herrejon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well, unless you are a smurf and bleed blue, yes it does make a difference! Lol. If you have not eaten anything red and you find red coming out of your body (especially after having surgery) you can be pretty sure it could be blood and know its an emergency or something that needs to be checked. It's not a huge deal but it saves your medical professionals and yourself time and energy in case of an emergency. The first question asked by a doctor if you tell them you have blood in your stool or urine should be 'have you eaten anything red?' -
Why Cant We Have Red Gatorade ?
Beetracy replied to azrrel herrejon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So that they can make sure you aren't getting blood in your urine or fecies. Also no beets or red dyed foods for the first few weeks! That way you know I'd you are having an internal problem. -
Miss Michi friend me! And keep me in the loop on your progress!!!

Thanks so much! Heading to bed soon!

I made thanksgiving dinner and am having a nice holiday with my kids and husband. My bag is packed and house is clean, I need to do a few dishes but other than that I am ready. So, I am just relaxing and getting a black Friday shopping list together for my husband!

Hey my surgery is tomorrow too! So nervous...I wasn't before but then they rescheduled and now I am really anxious! Tomorrow night and early! What time are you scheduled for?

The book spoken about above is called 5 love languages, it's ok. I highly recamend love and respect though or the love dare. They turn the focus around, instead of wishing your spouse would change, you change and in the process of loving her better she awakens and slowly becomes exactly who you need. Wishing she would be different while growing bitter will never be as effective as serving her and changing the environment that she lives in. Kill her indifference with kindness and sacrifice. Fight for your marraige! Nothing worth having comes easy!

Wow sounds like you are doing great! So glad to hear all is going well?

How exciting! My story was just the opposite! I had everything clean and ready. My bag was packed, made 14 meals to feed my family including thanksgiving dinner, child care was all arranged I had done a cleanse and then...day before surgery I got a call that my surgoun had an emergency and it was reascheduled! I was suppose to be sleeved the 15th and now it's the 23rd. I had to re adjust everything, but it's still worth it and readjusting to sooner than later is fantastically exciting at least. It's Bette then more waiting!!! Lol. I hope everything goes well!!!

Let's Check In November 2012 Sleevers!
Beetracy replied to timetobefree's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Boo!!! So my surgery was scheduled for tomorrow I arranged my whole family around it and my surgeon cancelled!!!! Need some encouragement! I am rescheduled for the 23rd but man what a psych out! -
Will I be ok of I am alone before surgery? My scheduled one is 1pm and my husband can be there for an hour and a half and maybe a little more from 11:30-1ish and then will be there after I get out and spend the evening with me before gettigte kiddos...but if the surgery runs late I'll be alone. I am a pretty independent person and one of faith so bein alone doesn't scare me as much as how do I get my bag in my room? And other logistical issues that are starting to pop I my head...what dovyou all think? Anything else I am missing?? Thanks!

I hate being called wifey it's like it devalues the importance of being someone's wife and husband. It turns something that is substantial and valuable and toning it down. I agree ( I am sure I am guilty of using the term) that I am a wife and that title means something so don't try to tone it down or make it cute...

Any Nov 15Th Sleevers?
Beetracy replied to mysunflower621's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello Brian! I am less anxious than I thought I'd be. I am actually really relaxed but I have worked hard to prepare for this and I feel ready. I think if anything I am more concerned that the anxiety is going to kick in like right before I go under or something. Like I am goin to totally have a freak out. For now, I have been sleeping like a baby and enjoying life! maybe your normal reaction will provide a very calm patient! Lol I fear my unnotmal calm is a brewing storm of crazy...! -
Boo! With all those fluids and gas and swelling? That seems highly inaccurate!!
-
Do they weigh you before your surgery??

Beetracy replied to sexy_sleevegirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My brother is a trainer. He sas that everyone is different weight comes off and comes on people differently too. Have you tried giving up wheat? I know that there is wheat belly that won't leave! You can still brake once a week or so but it might be worth a try! -
You can arrange things for the first few dates that aren't food orientated! It's par of our lifestyle changes anyway!

He held me and I fell asleep. You really can drive yourself crazy! My surgery is the 15th and I am so excited! God bless you all!!!! -

Beetracy replied to Beetracy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks guys for the encouragement and helpful suggestions! I am nervous about all of it, surgery recovery and travel but I am determined to be there! -
My Brother is getting married, last minute exactly a month after my surgery. So my surgery is on the 15th of November and he is getting married on December 15th. I plan to fly at this point, he is in CA and I am in South TX. Will this be enough time to fly? Havent talked to my surgeon yet but will. Thanks for your help!
