Just a quick question for those that have had pcos and have abdominal fat that hangs below the belly. Is this something that can be removed thru partial way of your weight loss? I know they say wait until you are at your goal, but the problem that I suffer and many others do to is being able to work out is limited because of this. Was wondering since I don't go into the doctor until another week, if there are any folks out there that had surgery after half of your weight was lost instead of all your weight

Be patient, you will slowly feel a difference- I got my band in November and finally just starting to get close to the green zone
-
I have the 14cc band
-
Got the band November 1st, so far down 45 lbs and this past week I went to 8.5cc which I think is finally my green zone. Already see I can't handle pancakes that well, though I can get them down one bite has me waiting 5 minutes in between (which sucks because pancakes were my favorite Saturday breakfast/brunch food) but I have learned to replace them with Protein powder and egg/banana pancakes- go down just fine and 22g of protein! Looking forward now I am green more continued weight loss!

Wasn't as bad as I was expecting though I wish they had put 2cc in me instead of just one, I don't feel any different- now I have to wait a whole month. Boo.

I'm only one month in but I have a 14cc with 6 ccs in it - from date of surgery I've actually only lost 10lbs from my starting weight it's been about 30, everyone is different just remember body will lose the weight when it's ready as long as you are eating healthy :-)

I have no issue being slow and steady just looking forward to being in the green zone and not wanting to constantly snack

In my second week of post op- since per op I've lost 30lbs (yay) Though today with be interesting have to make an emergency trip back to Maryland for dads health, which is one of the things that finally pushed me to get this done- I didn't want to be where my dad is health wise in 20-40 years Anyways a little nervous- is it going to feel weird due to the elevation ( I haven't even had a first fill)

My father passed away on Monday and I just want to eat everything in site. Did anyone stop losing weigh prior to their first fill? I'm on solids now but I've kinda stabilized now and can't get under 290 - I know I need a fill but I'm not snacking between meals and staying around 900-1100 for calories a day Any suggestions?

How Long Does It Take To Get The Surgery?
GodsTyro replied to loseordie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I had 5 month doctor supervised diet I had to do for insurance after I met all my requirements it took another month for approval. Once approved I was scheduled within a week so I could do my per op diet. My friend whom got it a month prior from me didn't go thru insurance and had it pretty immediately minus a week or so Just depends on your insurance or if you aren't going with insurance -
I had the same and it was pretty much a joke, a doctor just has to supervise you, I didn't have a diet was just told to eat healthy. I got weighed and measured once a month and that was it

My dog I had someone watch the day of surgery but picked her up on day two. Hardest part is bending over to pick up her poop otherwise no issues My dog is hyper part terrier and part shepherd she also has some pit

Having Surgery On Thursday!
GodsTyro replied to acoleman380's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
While on liquid phase protein shakes are how you get the protein, however if you are like me ( I'm only 4 days in) I am not hungry at all and wouldn't be able to stomach protein shakes so I am taking milk because its high in protein and its the protein needed for healing -
Was anyone more sore the second day the the first? My ab area still feels pretty the same slightly more sore which I expected but both my arms and upper thighs are super sore too. Is this normal? It feels like I had a bad full body workout. It doesn't feel like gas just wondering if others experienced this and about how long it took to not be sore

I just recently got banded and started per op at 315 by surgery I was 298, though I'm not a BMW of 60 I thought of a person in my line of business that was. When I met her she had already gotten to her goal which was about 170 I'd guess just looking at her but she use to be close to the 400,s With that being said she was easily close to or over the 60 him and was approved, of course I don't know if she had to lose weight ahead of time or not

What floors me is people that think a. That they have the right to comment and b. that they make comments like we are not fully aware that we are overweight

If you are only two days post op you aren't suppose to be doing jello It's Clear liquids only, you are allowed sugar free Popsicles though Days 3-7 is where you are allowed jello
-
It floors me as well the only one I can say "ok" to is chipotle, because you can choose what to put into a bowl, leaving out the starches and controlling the calories but of course even that is 3 meals probably All other fast food there's just no excuse for it

I have had experiences having been overweight in my past but not going to be in my future (which is an awesome thing to know) but though someones comment embarrasses or hurts me I am also a very vocal person and something triggers me to be just that with those type of people. I tend to stand up to them, and let them know how idiotic they are. If I had been in your position I would have just as loudly made fact to how rude he was being and that I did not need his commentary, that though I just recently ate I was not eating again but waiting for my co worker. I would have continued just as loudly questioning him if I had ordered anything in unfortunately in a rude manner as he was giving to me and the answered it for him right away ( I know two wrongs don't make a right but that's how it normally takes to get thru to some people) After that I would have then addressed in a polite manner this situation to their cafe management because that is something that needs to be dealt with.
