  1. When I started my current job 4.5 years ago, I was at this weight. A milestone! <3
  2. My first challenge! Will be released to the gym on Sunday so hoping it will help! Starting weight: 239 Surgery date: 9/19 @ 224 Current weight: 200 Goal weight: 190
  3. That is wonderful that you are so happy!! I think you are right about loving yourself first and of course the confidence! I've settled in the past too many times, and I think as the weight drops further, confidence will follow. I'm released this Sunday to return to the gym too so that will help with loose skin concerns.
  4. I agree with you! It can be such a private matter (it is for me at least) that sharing that with someone is out of my comfort zone. To be honest, my children and family/friends don't know. Only 3 people in my circle are aware.
  5. I had surgery 9/19. Close to six weeks post op..lost 39 lbs incl pre op diet. I worry about meeting someone in the future and having loose skin and being embarrassed to become intimate. I don't know how I will look when the weight really starts to drop but I am a bit worried about that.

    I Dont Like Food Anymore

I think the stall is getting to me more than anything even though Ive read that they are normal. I don't get head hunger and am patient for when i am finally able to eat regular foods but in the interim, not seeing weight loss is frustrating.

    I Dont Like Food Anymore

My surgery was 9/19 so I'm five weeks out too. I feel like the rest of you not enjoying food. I miss the flavor really. The 3 week stall has lasted 3 weeks too. I'm so close to onederland and cant get to it. Beyond frustrated. My dr is releasing me to work out on nov. 4th and I cant wait. Hopefully that will help. That burrito bowl from chipotle does sound good to try.
  9. I had the same experience and understand everything you went through. My first day back to work was the day following an all nighter such as what you went through. I was a wreck at work. When everything finally was cleared I increased my fluids as best I could to avoid a repeat. So glad you are feeling better.
  10. Awesome! Im two lbs away so hope to follow you soon!
  11. Congratulations! I am 2 lbs away from that and waiting patiently for my 3 week stall to break. Can't wait!

    Stalls:(

I am so glad I have your experiences to help me through this process. I'm close to five weeks post op and it really encourages me to know about the three week stall, etc. Im going on my third week of the three week stall but gradually lost six lbs. Hovering so close to reaching to onederland and you guys give me a lot of patience! Thanks!
  13. My future aspiration was actually a bit large scale, meaning finding a new company to work for. Knowing the weight prejudice, I was feeling self concious about interviewing. However with recent pay cuts, etc. it looks like I'm going to have to start seaching now, and I'm only a month out and not too much noticable weight loss as yet. But I'd like to get into Water sports (kayaking, jet skiing, etc.) and return to dancing.
  14. Wednesday will be one month post op. Haven't dropped a pants size yet. I've lost 35 lbs since pre op diet.
  15. Pre op weight: 239 Surgery 9/19: 224 Today: 203.8 About 35 lbs in total. I'm feeling a little frustrated though. I'm still a size 18 so no change in pants size. Everywhere is loose but i was hoping to drop a pants size. This Wednesday will be one month post op. I'm in that weird spot where the clothes I've worn pre op for what feels like forever are worn and frumpy, and am anxious to donate them as soon as this weight drops further. How many lbs lost does it take to drop a pants size?
  16. Starting weight: 239 Surgery: 9/19/12 weight : 224 Today: 205
  17. My twins are getting confirmed today followed by a dinner at Applebees. Can you give suggestions as to what I could order? Thank you.
  18. Hi. I did not share with my family about my surgery. Thank you.
  19. Thank you everyone! These are great suggestions! Since this is a celebratory event, I didnt want to sit with everyone without something I could semi eat in front of them. Thank you!
  20. You are awesome! All these accomplishments! Congratulations!
  21. Just returned from my appt. My shoulders feel lighter emotionally - my doctor came in the room and said I look great, and then while looking at my chart, said "Wow, you're doing great! Jesus!" LOL! That made me feel so much better. My beginning weight was 239. DOS weight was 224. I'm now 208. He said incisions are good - no infection due to my keeping them clean, and that I could go to the gym in four weeks, slowly then build up. He said that will really help later on. Asked if I felt the restriction and if I was swallowing food down. I've been walking and taking the Vitamins. Tiredness is normal. He said eventually hunger and taste of food would return later. Said ketosis is normal. He wants another 30 lbs dropped in three months. I guess that covers it all. So now in the daily focus of Protein and fluids and health, I've got to learn a different head game, called impatience. I have so many goals ahead, but part of it does involve the weight loss yet to be visible. Slow and steady wins the race.
  22. Have you made huge changes in your life since you have lost weight? A new job, relationships, anything? Thank you.
  23. I'm on the puree mushy diet. I'm allowed poached egg, cottage cheese, soft deli meats, canned tuna, soft fruits. It all looks good. But the taste is dulled. Will that change? The only thing I can taste that's good is the Premier Protein drink (chocolate). Thank you.
