    Why Lie?!?!

I have only told a few family members a close friends. At first u didn't want to hear the negativity now I don't want to explain it over and over. I simply say that I have cut WAY back in my eating, cut out sweets and carbs and eat mainly protein, which is all true.

    One Week Post-Op Questions

Yes it hurts when it hits your stomach, it's swollen and trying to heal that's why you are on puréed foods. I know you have heard this before but really ..... Take .... Tiny .... Sips..... I can't stress that enough. And when you start to eat .... Take ..... Tiny ..... Bites! And wait between sips and bites wait wait wait. This is the answer to your questions slow and tiny!!
  9. I am three months and I have had wine no hard liquor. I sip slowly and sometimes it doesn't set well I have yet to have a buzz. At one month I would REALLY sip slowly, it would suck to be at a nice bar or restaurant and have to run to throw up.

    Advice Needed Please.

I had horrendous diarrhea on and off while I was on liquids and even blended. Finally back to normal with soft foods.
  12. I went back to work at 5 days also but when that following weekend hit, day 8 & 9, I was exhausted, weak and dizzy. Don't get discouraged if it happens because it passes quickly. Stay hydrated.

    Help! Ladies Only!

I agree with sissy Kay, it would be as good as an immaculate conception to get pregnant dry humping with clothes on. I don't know how old you are, based on your "name" your may be in your twenties. Regardless, you need some serious sex education ASAP or you will be pregnant. Is there anyone you can talk to?

11 weeks for me and no shakes for the last 3 weeks or so.

    Myfitnesspal Confusion

It depends on what you have you daily caloric goal listed as. You can adjust that in your profile settings. I have mine set on 700 and of course it tells me that everyday because normal people should be eating more than 700 calories a day. I'm lucky to even get 700 !! As you progress you will need to watch your protein staying around 60 grams and the rest will take care of itself.

Whats The Difference Between Stage 2 And 3?

The next stage for me was soft food. Basically the same as the blended diet but you don't have to blend it.

    Any Reviews For Dr. Garcia?

I also had a great experience with Dr Garcia in August. I went through A Lighter Me and everything was just as I was told.
  18. I went alone to TJ and felt completely safe. I flew into San Diego and was picked up and had no problems. I was back at work in 6 days.
  19. I had chewable gasx and I ate a bunch of them! I think they helped. The sipping of the water is the only way to get it down. I'm at 10 weeks and I still can't tolerate plain water. Also, I was told not to worry about protein the first week just stay hydrated.

Eating Everything I Can, While I Can:(

I took advantage of the chance to lose some preop weight and I did! I stopped sugar and carbs months preop and I glad I did. It eased me into the small quality of food we can eat postop instead of having to go cold turkey.

    Low Bmi'ers...how Long To Goal?

    I started at 196 surgery 8/31 and I have lost 32 pounds.

    Dr. Fernando Garcia

The coordinators do just that .... They coordinate your trip and as far as I can tell it doesn't cost any more. The surgeons would need to have someone coordinate trips anyway so this process works for them. I used dr Garcia and A Lighter Me 8/31 had a great experience.

    3 Weeks !

Cream soup, refried beans, eggs, shakes that was about all I ate in puréed stage. I would be careful with the potatoes, don't make that a habit. I know you think what little you can eat couldn't hurt but its not a good habit. I say no to sugar, pasta, potatoes, bread.

    Newbie Needs Help

I was told not to worry about protein for the first week just to stay hydrated. Protein still makes my tummy bubbly at 9 weeks.

    40 Lbs In 6 Mnths...uuggghhh!

I would say first look at your food. Do you track tour food? How many calories are you getting daily? How much protein? Are you eating any sweets? How many carbs are you eating?
