    2Nd Fill

I got my 11cc realize band June 13th and I just got my 2nd fill. I'm now at 7ccs and I'm hoping to feel some restriction since I didn't feel a single difference after the 1st fill. So far I'm down 27 pounds...pretty excited

    Best Dvds??

I was wondering what workout DVDs you like to use? I feel like every time I buy one it's either too difficult or too boring. I want something fun that works. Any suggestions??

    Potential Problem...

When I was banded it was empty and I went in for my first fill about 2 weeks ago. She put in 6ccs and I never felt any different at all. I have heard it takes a couple of fills before you have restriction, but I guess I just assumed I would have felt something. I let it go until last night...I was putting some lotion on my scars and for the first time I actually could feel my port (both grossed out and excited at the same time since apparently that means I have lost some fat in that area). Problem is, when I got my fill, it was about 3 inches lower than where I feel my port now. I am assuming it doesn't move around, so is it possible that the saline was just injected into my body and not my port? Seems a little far-fetched since I go to a specialty center that does this all day every day but I was just wondering if anyone had any similar experiences.

    New Kaiser Patient

They basically removed part of her stomach to make it smaller. She only eats a few bites at a time because her stomach is so small, but it's different than gastric bypass because nothing is bypassed or re-routed.

    New Kaiser Patient

My mother-in-law wanted the band and went through kaiser. She had to lose 10% of her body weight on her own and then go through 6 weeks of nutrition classes. In the end they said they wouldn't do the band because it's not successful and convinced her to get the sleeve.
  6. It took me about 15 days to feel normal again. Be prepared for it to take longer than expected. Everyone kept telling me 7 days and at 7 days I still felt horrible! Hopefully I'm just abnormal and you will be back to yourself faster
  7. Hi everyone, I am 26 years old and had my surgery on June 13th. I started out feeling great and everything was healing as I assumed it was supposed to. I didn't have to do any type of pre-op diet, but since the surgery I have lost 23 pounds in 15 days. A few days ago I wasn't feeling well and my Dr. wanted to see me. I was told that I was losing weight a little too fast and I needed to skip forward to week 5 eating which of course is meat and cheese and things like that. Since I have been actually eating I feel a lot better, but I still don't feel 100% myself. I keep wondering if this surgery was a mistake. I am so tired, whenever I go out and do things I constantly have to sit down (which I never had to do before surgery) and I'm just wondering if this is normal and does it ever go away. I just want to feel 100% and feel like myself again, and I'm starting to wonder if that's ever going to happen....
