Quick question...when did you guys have your 1st alcolholic drink after getting the band? I am 20 days post op and down 25 lbs (including liquid diet) This week has been hectic and exciting, celebrated my 2 yr anniversary with my boyfriend and today is his birthday. Just wondering if having one glass of white wine will do any harm? Tganks for the input

Hey guys, so I am 5 days post op and have no idea where my port is....I am still swollen and cant feel where it is. Otherwise I have been doing fine, I am back at work and feel great. Anyone else have had this issue? My surgeon only does 2 incisions so I guess thats another reason why I am xonfused as to there it could be.

Hey guys its been a while but super excited that insurance approved me and I am scheudled for surgery on Jan 23rd!!!! Any advice is much needed!! Also 3 weeks after surgery I have a planned trip to costa rica; ideas and thoughts on this? I may cancel depending on how I am feeling and what the doc tells me...

Hey guys so I an on the other side, not as bad as I thought!! ... Just feels like someone beat up my stomach but otherwise I am walking around, drinking Water and taking my Vitamins (chewable and dissolvable of course) The only concern is that I cant feel where my port is, but I am also very swollen...anyone else have this issue in the beginning? Also to you guys who are nervous, you will be fine!!! What to expect?? As soon as you get into the OR they will give you medication to calm down, and it kicks in FAST!! Then the next thing you know you will be waking up and it will all be over!! After I got somewhat nautious and lightheaded so I took a nap prior to walking around, but I am home and walking and FINE aside from some soreness...dont stress out like I did, I just want to offer a peace of mind to you guys! Hey guys, so tomorrow is my big day and all I want to do is cry today...I guess the nerves and relaity, excitment, anticipation, worry ect just wants to flow out of me....Support is much needed. I have never had surgery before and I guess the feeling of the unknown is the worst part of it...looking forward to hearing from you guys xoxoxo

Ugh tomorrow will be torture, I am scheduled soooo late... Have to be at the hospital at 3:30.. And I am not allowed to eat/drink ANYTHING till then...definitly must keep myself busy tmrw!!!! Lots of luck...keep me posted!!!!

I am in the same boat, my surgery is tomorrow!! So nervous!!!!!!

Not sure what time my surgery is tmrw, they will call me tonight...who else is a bottle of nerves and emotions today?! I cant even function ughh

Hey Mimi hope all is going well, any updates? You have been in my prayers...hopfully this will be a short lived diabetic blip prior to surgery and it will all be over after the procedure!! Keep your head up and please keep us posted. As for everyone else, how is everyone doing so far? I have pretty much got use to this whole thing and only ONE WEEK LEFT! Ahh so unreal!! Last night I had a craving for some cheese and a chicken cutlet as well as a burger but made it threw lmao!! How much weight has everyone lost so far? I lost 10 since last week, I guess sipping on liquids will do that to you...UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES everyone xoxo
