  1. Hello Ladies and Gents, Quick question, so having dropped over 200#'s I have now I have that lovely saggy skin issue, I can handle most of it, but the thigh's are killing me. It's causing issues (friction, and swinging in a most fugly fashion) and my insurance did not even cover the surgery, that was out of pocket. So, anyone have any idea on how to get insurance to cover it when I think its medically needed? Thanks a bunch!

    Bowel movements

If you cant go, eating a few prunes or drinking some diluted prune juice before bed works like a charm for me, without having to introduce pills or powders. I prefer natural products as much as possible

    Why can't we donate blood?

I called and asked my doctor who told me that I can never donate blood again. That it would unbalance my vitamin levels and chemicals and what not. I am not deficient in anything, but that it can make you deficient and it’s hard to get back to where you where before donating, and can cause problems. This may be directed specifically towards me, but I had heard this same thing from many people who have been sleeved that they can no longer donate. Just my two cents J

    Loose skin?

Loofas, sugar and salt scrubs should be your best friend. Scrubbing a few times a week on flabby areas will help. Also I dont care what anyone says using compression garments help. I use them and have noticed a drastic difference. Also, lotion, lotion, lotion and did i mention lotion? Cocoa butter or a skin firming lotion is the key. As for the working out, using a 2 to 3 pound weight daily helps, if at some point you wish to build muscle then use a greater weight. Also, if your low on cash, use some milk jugs, fill them till you feel mild resistance or weigh them. Hope this helps

    Pregnancy after VSG

All the doctors I have spoke to in reference to this all recommend pregnancy be two years after VSG. They have said that the babies are healthy with no issues. My two cents would be after surgery
