I was banded on February 28th. I just got my first fill on Monday. I told my DR I wanted it to be as tight as he could because I had felt no restriction yet. He put 2ccs in my 4cc band. In the morning I have good restriction, but as the day goes on I get hungrier and hungrier, and I seem to be able to eat anything. I just ate a whole 7-layer burrito from taco bell. I know it's not a good food choice, but is being able to eat that much with 2ccs normal? I read other posts and people only have 1.2 or 1.5 and they have already lost 75 pounds and say they are never hungry???

What's the worst thing someone said to you?

I was laying in the recovery room right after surgery still knocked out from the anesthetic and the first thing I remember is this nurse holding my hand up in front of me and saying, "are your fingers always this pudgy or are the swollen?". Nice lady! -
Hi, I was banded on 2/28. It has been six days since my surgery. The first couple of days were horrible, but it has been getting progressively better as time goes on. Yesterday I woke up and felt great. I decided to clean up the house a little, did the dishes, dusted, vaccumed. Then I felt horrible the rest of the day and was up most of the night last night. How much is too much? It didn't seem like I was pushing myself too hard physically. I just get tired of sitting around the house feeling useless. But at the same time if I do something I hurt afterwards. Walking only goes so far. What other activities can I do to keep me busy without the pain?

Hi, I was banded on 2/28, 6 days ago. I did the clear liquid diet for the first 4 days, but it was killing me. I had horrible gas stuck inside me all the time, I had liquid runs, I was weak, and I just felt like dying. For the past couple of days I have started the protein shakes with some mix-ins. I have done a little peanut butter, bananas, fresh strawberries, and mixed frozen berries. I feel SO much better! The gas is gone, I have normal bowel movements, I'm not hungry. The shakes with some substance have made a world of difference. I'm just scared I'm hurting myself. My surgeon's diet allows protein shakes after one week (which would be tomorrow), but no mix-ins for 2-3 weeks. Has anyone else jumped ahead and started early? Is it a good idea to keep it up?
