I've done more damage to my body before this surgery then this surgery ever will. -

My info's all in my signature lines: -
I didn't have them either. My surgeon said it depended on how well he could get all the excess fluid out.

How Much Weight Did You Lose On Your Pre Gastric Sleeve Surgery Diet?
MarKing15 replied to jasleeve's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My preop diet was only 1 day so I don't think there was much of a loss. I did set a goal of 47-lbs loss during the 6 month supervised diet plan and was proud of myself for surpassing it and losing 63. Good luck. -
Spanx - A Funny Follow-Up

Too funny! Love your Blog, keep it up. -
It's best to eat every 2 or 3 hours. I have a Greek Yogurt in between each meal as a snack to fill me up and give me extra protein. The yogurts with my fluids, are keeping me feeling full and getting me through the day. Good luck.

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call
MarKing15 replied to newgrandmother's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Just over two weeks post op and doing pretty well. On Friday I saw the Dr. and my incisions are healing nicely and I was given the go ahead to progress to soft foods. I tried eating a scrambled egg and after having all liquids for several weeks, it felt WEIRD eating real food. I could actually feel it in my stomach. I will be making this food transition very SLOWLY! With three shakes and two yogurts a day, I'm getting in over 100g of protein and trying to make sure to keep my fluids up. I'm down 13.2 since surgery. It seems to be a little on the slow side compared to others, but I'll take it knowing more is to come. Blessings all! -
Day 2 was the hardest for me. By day 3, I felt human again and it's gotten better each day since.

When Did You Stop The Pain Meds?
MarKing15 replied to sramos89's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery on a Friday, only needed nausea and pain meds for two days. By that Monday I could function without them. I cut my Multivitamin in half, but I'm able to swallow the rest of my meds with no problem. -
I had surgery on a Friday morning and was back after a week away. I have an office job with minimal to moderate walking. I've felt good so far. I'm tired when I get home, but I'm able to do everything I need to. Honestly, I couldn't have stayed home much longer. Being at home with nothing to do was killing me! I was driving my wife crazy, begging her to go run errands so we could get out of the house.

I tried putting Chia Seeds in my Protein shake today and it didn't go so well as the seeds stuck to the side of my bottle. How and in what do you use them? I figure they will work well in yogurt, but what else? You help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Found some Chia Seeds at my local Walgreen's. I hope relief is in my future!

Sleeping On Stomach Or Side
MarKing15 replied to Tonyswifey's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Last night was day 6 and I was comfortable on either side. I've been lucky so far in that I've had a zero complication recovery. The last time I took pain meds was Sunday night, two days after surgery. I've not even needed Tylenol. I've been good to go since day 3. -
I've got one, but it was so poorly done, that it looks like a really bad kindergarten craft project. Thinking that comment over, it's not fair to kindergarten art projects. It's the most ghetto card ever!

Stuck At 275 4 Weeks Post Op

Guys, I've read several general threads as it relates to hair loss and it seems that most of the info is coming from women. So now I need some input from the guys. Here's my perspective: Hair is very short as I keep it buzzed with a #3 clipper and it's pretty thin on top. Luckily every where else is pretty good, just the top has thinned out. How has hair loss effected you, assuming you have short hair too? I've read other people say cutting it short will hide some of the loss, but I can do very little cutting. So, what say you?

It's very early in the morning of day three and I am so glad to begin feeling human again. I'm experiencing minimal gas and side pain and making sure that I balance rest with walking. I'm have the most difficulty remembering to sip! Per my Doc's orders, I will begin introducing Protein shakes today and hope for the best. I do hope all my fellow 9/7 Sleevers are doing well. Have a blessed day everyone.
