Protein Shakes Help Please
CajugirlBecky replied to Carol Watts's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I still live on EASAdvantage shakes from Walmart. These were suggested by my nut. I don't like the Atkins shakes. I'm too lazy for the powders. I also eat a quest protein bar every day. A cousin had a bypass surgery a year ago and his nut suggested them. I talked with my nut and Dr. They both said they were good protein sources. -
For Those Who Started At 250
CajugirlBecky replied to TheNewSusie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was 245.5 on when I started. Sleeves June 27. Made it to 200 In early October. Have gone down to 193 but am back to 198 right now. Trying to refocus on getting enough water and protein in. It usually amps up the weight loss and gets me out of my stall. -
Post Op Day 4! Feeling A Ok!
CajugirlBecky replied to healthiermom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I never had pain like reflux either, but for my first week check up the dr prescribed nexium. No more pain. I guess it was reflux after all. When I ran out of pills in two weeks the pain was gone. -

What Are You Looking Forward To?
CajugirlBecky replied to Remodeling.Me's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow territravel--with tears in my eyes I told my dad I wanted this surgery so that for once in my life, I want to be able to walk without my thighs rubbing together. Another thing I am looking forward to is people not to refer to me as "big Becky" when they are telling someone about me Even a close "skinny" friend does this, and it kills me. -

Rainygirl--the surgery should go very quickly. Mine was about an hour. The last thing I remember was the anesthesiologist telling me I was going to go to.....next thing I knew, I was waking up in recovery. It'll be ok. You'll be ok. -

Sleeved June 27. Class of 92. Will be 38 this year. You guys have brought back soooo many memories. I remember the z-cavs, tight rolled jeans, multi layered socks and deck shoes. Swatch watches and coca-cola apparel. Too funny. -
1 Week Post-Op
CajugirlBecky replied to The New Ms. Perry's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think we all have to push for that goal---not just weight loss, but back to the things we used to do or the things we were never able to do but always wanted to because of the weight hanging over our heads. New way of thinking. New life. Nothing's stopping me now. -
