  1. My ob/gyn put me on prenatals to start taking to help prepare my body for pregnancy. My question is, why do I not have to take double prenatals like I did with the regular multi-Vitamin? Once I thought about this, I called the office back and the nurse said the prenatals have more in them.............What has your experience been?

    Prenatals

Can tell me more about the progesterone and how it helped your pregnancy......It's been almost 16 years since I was pregnant lol!
  4. I had some of these same questions.....,thank you ladies for responding to Febi135, and Febi135 thanks for asking these questions. I guess just like any other pregnant woman we need to mindful of what we are eating, Im a little older so GD is a concern of mine
  5. I have one child too that is now 15, I am wondering how this will all work out for me too. I have endometriosis, adenomyosis, and pcos so I understand your pain with the never ending bleeding and pain. My husband and I tried prior to me having my sleeve 10/24/12, and now we are in transition in trying to conceive. The doctors feel that it will be easier because of the weight loss, considering I’ve had a child before, but I am still very nervous about having a successful pregnancy. The doctor took about 8 tubes of blood when i went in for my pre-pregnancy appointment; I'm just hoping that none of hormones levels are off so much that would keep us from getting our green light in January. When do you plan on trying for another child?

    not pregnant but wanting advice.

this is such an encouraging thread..... I am hopeful that when i come off the bc in 2 months it wont take too long to get pregnant... btw: that doc that made that comment isn't worthy of caring for you......imo

    SYMPTOMS OF PCOS

I have some of the same pcos symptoms as you. Knowing that it's a hormone imbalalnce makes me think about things and situations differently. I always "take one for the team" when I'm not really into it, and I always end up "into it" by the time it's over...lol!! Put yourself out there and see how it goes.

    How long to get pregnant

I was wondering the same thing.....my ob/gyn has me on bc for 2 months to get my cycle on track and then she is going to give 6 months of trying to get pregnant before referring us out to a specialist. This will make me 15 months out, before we are able to start trying. I'm hoping it happens pretty fast, because I have endometriosis and adenomyosis, so my periods are very painful and heavy.

    pregnant and afraid

Chittick24 thanks for the information, it's really helpful to read about your experience. I am very concerned about weight gain, so I'm glad to hear you didn't have any issues. Did you experience the nausea prior to your pregnancy?

    pregnant and afraid

Congratulations Tabbmarsha!!! From what I've read on here and the advice of my ob/gyn you should be just fine. The pregnancy will probably be healthier for you since you are down 92lbs (congrats!!!). Remember a growing fetus needs nutrition, but not all the extra craziness some pregnant women indulge in....lol!! At 17 months post-op your timing is great too according my surgeon, he told me I had to wait at least 12 months before hubby and i could start trying. (I can't wait to start trying)

    October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves

Hi All!! It's been a while since I've post on this thread, but I wanted to share my good news........I'm down 108 lbs!!!! My surgery was October 24th, I had faith that I would get to this point, but it all seems so surreal.... How are the rest of you doing?
  13. Not that I have been as blessed as you ladies, but i still want to share. I was a 38C prior to surgery and 103 down and 8 months later im a 34B.....uuuggghh!! Im so pissed cauae some B cups are a little rommy....
  14. I don't blame you, I've already spoke with my trainer and she is on board with continuing our sessions when I do get pregnant. It's been 16 years since I've been pregnant and I gained 31/32 pounds back then, so I'm hoping I don't gain more 20 the next time around because of the limitations with what we can eat due to the surgery. My husband and I tried previously but to no avail due to my weight. I am excited that hopefully this time next year I will have a big belly
  15. Congratulations!!!!
  16. I am 8 months post op and today I was able to eat a whole hot dag and 75% of the bun!!!! Is this too much for someone 8 months post-op?

    Too much?

No, i don't feel hunger like I did before. The mind is very powerful and can have you thinking you want food, when you truly aren't hungry. I can eat more than I could in the beginning, but I honestly think that's what helped me keep loosing weight. I am able to take in more natural Protein (chicken breast) instead of having to rely on the protein supplements for all of my protein needs.

    Too much?

Ive had the same assumptions, but was told differently by those who had surgery previously. My experience is they were right, because I dont over eat. I know we should be healed after several months, but there is gradual difference over time that Ive noticed in myself. I think I was limited a lot at first due to the hernia repair and Im thinking the swelling takes quite some time to go away completely..... I do love my sleeve though!!

    Too much?

I promised myself that I would eat pizza until I got to goal and was able to maintain before I eat pizza. I could eat 2 slices and 3-4 hot wings previously.
