    I broke the news.

Cushy--- I am proud of you! I can so relate to your story at all points. I a year and almost three months out from surgery. Life gets so different in this end. This is the best thing that you can do for yourself from a health standpoint but also an empowerment standpoint. My life has changed and things that I used to stuff down with food or just from fear of being ignored, told I don't know what I'm talking about --- you name it! I now speak mind and have taken hold of the reigns of my life more than before. Only you can show the rest of the world who you are. Of course let me warn you people can and will continue to say stupid things! I work in radio and I someone tell me that my voice sounds clearer since I lost weight. Like once I got the ham and mac&cheese out of my cheeks I sounded better! Some people assume that it is the surgery.. And want to remind you if not for the surgery you wouldn't have the loss. They are part right... It is a tool to help get you there... Your mind and heart have to follow suit! Remind yourself every day that you are worth it!

    Clothing Exchange

A FB support group that grew out of a group on here has mentioned it. I would love to do that. As I am at the point of almost losing my clothes while walking! Where in NC are you? I am in Upstate SC.

    I Have Lost 100Lbs

You look fantastic! Can't wait to get my arms back!
  8. Wow! I thought mine on PCOS was screwy. In 2004 I had ovarian cyst and uterine polyps removed after basically having three periods a month, I couldn't even imagine 18 months! It took 6 months after my first son to have a period and 13 months after my second to have one. Both of my boys are miracles and we fought every step of the way with the pregnancies and progesterone issues. I am hoping this will help reset mine as well. Still have not had on menstral cramp or signal to let me know this is coming on. So 6 periods and a sleeve later ( I'm 5 days out) her is hoping!
  9. Doing good! I even surprised myself! Second day for pre op diet and no cheating not even once. My surgeon has me on a high Protein, salad veggies (no tomoates, no fruit, no bread, no Pasta, Beans or corn) diet. Just keeping the eye on the prize. I was disappointed with my family, they told me they would have veggies for me. I ate cucumbers and low fat meats and a SF cherry Jello, that I split with my 18 month old. It is so worth it!

    Official July Sleevers Postop Thread.

You are going to do great Patrick! Can't wait to join you on the losers bench in two weeks!
  12. I'm sorry about him not keeping quiet. My MIL did the same thing. I swore her to secrecy and yet she told my BIL and SIL and God knows who else. I originally wasn't going to tell her until after the fact. Still mad and I will get my time to make it known soon enough but right now you have to concentrate on you! In the mean time I told her mother on her (I know, i tell my 5 year old not to tattle... But sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do). She was also upset that my MIL told. She treats me more like her DIL than my husband's Mom ever has!
  13. Tiff1977--- My surgery is July 17th & I have an 18 month old and a 5 year old. What were the guidelines you were given as far as lifting your child? I'm kind of nervous on how we work the logistics of that one.
