Did anyone cheat in their pre-op diet? I'm on day 6 and it is so hard. This is my second time doing pre-op diet because I got sinus infection and Bronchitus during my first pre-op, so I had to re-schedule my surgery. I have nothing but headaches . They have me on 2 protein shakes and 1 meal a day.

I am super excited, after following the 6 month nutrition visits, and all the other necessary requirements...the request was submitted 8/6, and I was approved today! Thank you God. I was thinking I would have to wait weeks

The belt was awesome! It covered me from under my tatas to past my belly. It helped me a lot because when I would get up and walk it felt like all my organs were falling forward. But, the belt help keep everything in place. I don't know what I would have done without it. It helped alleviate pressure.

I just got banded on 9/18- the abdomen pain was just for a few days. However, in my case the gas pains were the worse for me than the incisions. Did they give you a belt to wear around your tummy? It really helped me keep my tummy all together . I went to the doctor today for my follow up and he is allowing me mushy foods. I was so grateful cause I am sick of soups. I buy the Premier shake at Costo. I have also heard they sell it as Sams. It's an 18 ready to go pack. I actually buy the vanilla and change it up so I don't get bored of the flavor. One day I'll mix it with Blueberries, the next day with strawberries and bananas. The I just this week went to the store and I was in the frozen food aisle and bough a bag of mixed fruit. My husband likes my shakes so much he started asking me to make them for him-

Has anyone ever had Thyroid issues and ha the hardest time loosing weight, and then gets the Lapband....did you actually lose weight. Im getting Lapband next week and hope this will help me in loosing weight. I have had my Thyroid removed and cannot lose weight. It took the Dr. 2 yrs to regulate my levels. Before, it was removed I lost 70 lbs on my own.

Im getting banded on 9/18....reading some of these blogs I see that people seem to have their gallbladder removed after Lap Band. I am so happy mine was removed 3 yrs ago. I was I more pain with gallbladder surgery than when I had my thyroid removed.i felt like my entire tummy are was on fire! I learned you use your stomach muscles for everything! After 1 week I was good to go. I recovered pretty fast!!!!

I'm getting the lap band and just wondering of running can cause your band to slip...just wondering?

How soon can you workout after surgery?

I'm home relaxing today and I'm super nervous just thinking about my surgery happening in 2 weeks. My mind is going 100 miles per hour and I keep thinking am I making a good decision? I've tried so hard to lose weight and because of my Thyroid it a never ending battle! I was not even this nervous when I had my Thyroid removed.

Thanks Erin that does make me feel a whole lot better. I did not have naseau from my Thyroid or Gallbladder surgery, so hope fully I'm good on that part . As for Wisdom- I start my pre-op this Tues.-yikes.... Not looking forward to that!

Hi everyone, Im pretty much on a 2-a day Protein shake with a small meal for dinner. I know it will be hard but, my mind is set that I know I can do this! I've suffered for so long with my weight, and I have never wanted something more that this. I went to the Dr. today and got all my blood work done, so I am CLEAR for surgery! I know as long as I have GOD on my side, everything will be ok! HE has been there for me, and has answered many of my prayers.

Any words of advice as I start my pre-op diet 8/21.
