    9 months out pics

Amazing! You must feel terrific! Congratulations
  2. I had that same pain and someone here mentioned that it's muscular... Likely stretched muscles, etc. it went away around week three, and only came back once after I painted my daughter's ceiling. It hurt, so I slacked the next day, drank lots of water and made everyone else bend over to pick up stuff I dropped LOL! It'll get better, promise. Good luck!

    Calcium Citrate Liquid

I eat the citracal chewies. They taste good and have never bothered my sleeve, even one week post op.

    Piercings?

I just took my nose piercing out before they put me under and then put it right back in as soon as I was alert enough. I've had it for many years but I still don't like to be without it.
  5. I don't know, but maybe soy milk would make a difference? I'm so sorry!
  6. You are looking great! Thank you for sharing your pics. I can really see a difference.
  7. I'm in that third week stall and was starting to get discouraged by the number on the scale. I dragged out my handy dandy measuring tape and boom! Despite remaining the same weight, I've lost three inches from my waist, one and a half from my hips, and half an inch from my bust. Take your measurements! Don't be a slave to the scale. I promise it'll be encouraging when the scale won't budge.
  8. I'm three weeks out. I can take walks, I managed to grocery shop, I thought, "Eh, I'm good. I have enough energy to paint my daughter's bedroom." Hubby tore it all apart, child has been sleeping on the couch for the last two nights and all I managed to do was wipe down the walls. I couldn't even get it taped off before I got dizzy and out of breath. Argh! I love to paint and I can't do it now. I think my stamina will get better, but right now, I'm frustrated! I started a project that my husband and sons will have to finish, and it's something I love to do!!! And I'm worried about going back to work. I have a very physical job. What if I can't do it? I needed to vent. I'm still more glad than not about having had the surgery, but today I'm frustrated with myself.

    All of my December sleevers...

Sleeved 12/27 and total weight lost is bouncing between 35-37 lbs. I have at least a week of gain a pound, lose two, gain a pound... Etc. since I'm barely eating 800 cals and mostly still survive on protein shakes and baby food, I'm guessing my body is just freaking out and will snap out of it soon. I'm not worried yet, although I do miss seeing a lower number on the scale every day. I took my measurements at the beginning of the month and I plan to take them again around valentine's day. That way, I have more than one way to measure my loss and won't worry about the scale as much.

    Any Pennsylvania Sleevers?

Days two and three were the hardest for me. And it took about a week before I could sleep on my side, which was a big deal for me. I'm on my third week and I still wear out before I think I should, but I have more energy than before. Just give yourself time to heal and good luck!

    Why the ban of caffiene?

Will I never be able to enjoy a cuppa joe again? I'm I serious coffee enthusiast and decaf just isn't the same...
  12. Thank you both, I needed the relief of mind that I'm not dying. LOL I think maybe I tried to do to much today. I spent the rest of the evening lying on the couch reading a book and I feel better now. Thanks so much for the reassurance.
  13. It's near where the drain was... Kinda around my right hip but in the front. I'm 1wk postop today. I only feel ok when I'm up & walking or laying flat on my back. What could it be? Is it just gas? Could I be ovulating and the pain is just worse than it's ever been? When should I worry?
  14. I'm only one week out (today) and SHE TOOK ME OFF ALL MY DIABETES MEDS!!! This is the best NSV I have ever had. I can't even tell you how thrilled I am. She's not yet ready to say I don't have diabetes, but she said since I will be losing weight, when I come back for my next recheck in three months, she wouldn't be surprised if we could start saying that I have a history of diabetes, rather than saying I have type II diabetes! I told her, even if I never lost another pound, this surgery was worth it, just for this!
  15. I have been worried about the same thing, as my hair has also always been thick and pretty and frequently complimented. But I decided this: I know it's coming so I'm donating the majority to Locks of Love before it gets too bad. Then once it gets thin, I'm going to rock wigs in every color of the rainbow, and learn how to tie beautiful scarves over my hair until it decides to grow back. Beauty is mostly attitude. Pretend you feel gorgeous, and eventually you'll start to feel gorgeous. When you get a compliment on ANYTHING, act arrogant (in a humorous way) and say, "Thanks, I am pretty awesome, aren't I?" Hang in there sweets. You are still you, no matter what the outer shell looks like.
  16. Good job! You look so much healthier and happier!
  17. I didnt go for three days and I was glad! It hurt to clean myself after urinating, I figured I'd have to ask my hubby to help me with a bowel movement. Talk about humiliation! By the time I went, I was feeling better, thank God.
  18. Make you put on weight? Hubby asked me that after I told him that sweets like cakes and Cookies are "slider" foods. I don't have an answer. Can one of you please explain it?
  19. Haha! That makes complete sense. I knew there was a good answer. Thank you!!!
  20. It's a great difference, and you look so much younger! Good for you!!

    one month pics

You look fantastic! What an amazing difference in just one month! Congrats!
  22. I'm day 5 and sick of the narcotics, but not quite good enough to take nothing for pain. Can I take a regular (liquid) Tylenol? I'm going to call my doc in a bit, but I hate bugging them on a vacation day...

    Any Pennsylvania Sleevers?

Done! But I haven't told anyone, nor do I intend to tell anyone, that I've had this done, so please don't mention it on my timeline. We have a mutual friend... My son's girlfriend!

    Any Pennsylvania Sleevers?

I had Dr. Ceppa and yes, I live in the area... Exeter to be precise. I would love to have someone to talk and walk with! I feel amazingly better today, but it's been a little rough up to this point. How about you? Tell me all!
  25. I keep worrying about what I'm eating/drinking. My doc has me on liquids - clear for week one, just liquid for week two. I'm three days post op and if I get 16 oz of Water in a day, that's good. I'm also only able to do one Protein shake, and that's if I split it and drink half now, half later. I'm still doing ff chicken broth and some sf pops here and there. Is it enough for now? Should I pushing myself to take in more? I figured it's about 35g protein and about 45-50 oz of Fluid. Also, when do the gas pains lessen? Is there something I can do besides take gasX to help?
