    :faint: Hi Everyone, Haven posted for a while due to the way I have been feeling. My weigh has gone up a little but I have been trying hard not to put weight on. Its back to that old fashened method "the diet"!:rolleyes Anyway I have I thnk been to hell and back since my band was removed.. I am seeing the consultant on Wednesday night to see if I can have another band. In fact I am really dreading it because if he says KNOW i really dont know what I will do. I am up and down with mood swings and stress. But on the brighter side I had the all clear last week and the mrsa bug has finally moved out:clap2::clap2: YES. sO its fingers and everything crossed for Wednesday. Hope you are all doing ok.     Thats wonderful news I am so pleased for you. I know how you feel about the weight gain but try and relax and not worry to much. (I am a fine one to talk!) Anyway October will be here before you know it. :clap2::clap2:
  6. Hi well I have lived life now for 5 months with out my band. My weight has increesed. :whoo: I am seeing my consultant on Wednesday hoping and praying thatI can have another band. I pray to god I can. If he says I cant I will then think about a byepass but really I dont want this. So I feel like some one who has started there journey with wls. I have found it so hard coping without the band. Mrs D
  7. Hi Sometime ago some one asked if there was a support group near Derby. I am sorry for delay in finding out, but details are below. The mid trent obesity support group meets the last wednesday of every month in room 205 devonshire house at the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary. It is mainly bandsters as this is the procedure that happens in Derby. Hope this helps Mrs D
  8. Hi everyone just to let u know its nearly time for the meeting at cribbs cause way in fact its in the Lamb and Flag on the 14th July at 7ish. On a more somber note for those of you that have been watching my threads you will KNOW THAT i HAVE LOST MY BAND. i AM NOT REALLT DOING THAT WELL. So I have asked the group to elect another leader. But they are a hard bunch and some of them want me to carry on. But I need to take a back seat for a while to sort my self out.# Anyway i wish them all the best Fay

    hI THERE My advice to you would be shop around. There quite a lot of surgeons out there now doing this type of opp. dO U HAVE A BUPPA NEAR YOU? tHEY ARE VERY GOOD.

  13. Just to let you all no that the South west Support group is having a weekend in Burnham-on-Sea. You are all very welcome to join us. The date is 16th June. Some are staying overnight. They have booked into the Royal Clarence Hotel. Single £30 Double £60 inlcudes breakfast. Some folk are just coming for the day. I wondered if any of you fancyed joining us. We are a mix bunch of ds'ers bandsters bye pass and pre opps family and friends. Have a think let me no ASAP. fAY

    Hi I dont no if this group is near you deTAILS BELOW. West Midlands Support Group Members and any one interested in attending this group. The Support Group is scheduled to meet, First Saturday of each month 2.30pm till 4.30pm The venue is BUPA HOSPITAL, Solihull 1 Damson Parkway Solihull West Midlands B91 2PP 3rd February 3rd March 7th April 5th May 2nd June 7th July 4th August ALSO THERE IS A GROUP DETAILS BELOW:- 1st September 6th October 3rd November 1st December The Support group is for both pre and post-op patients. We welcome patients, support members family members, you may be a part of the group regardless of where your surgery was performed. Our group is held In a open format. Each group will be different depending on the needs of the individuals in attendance. If after any group meeting you feel that your need have not been met, please feel free to contract me for further support or advice.

Having someone tell you that you're beautiful. 17. Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you. 18. Waking up and realising you still have a few hours left to sleep. 19. Making new friends or spending time with old ones. 20. Having someone play with your hair. 21. Sweet dreams. 22. Making eye contact with a cute stranger. 23. Holding hands with someone you care about. 24. Running into an old friend and realising that some things (good or bad) never change. 25. Watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much-desired present from you. 26. Getting out of bed every morning and being grateful for another beautiful day. 27. Knowing that somebody misses you. 28. Getting a hug from someone you care about deeply. 29. Knowing you've done the right thing, no matter what other people think.

    Just wanted to say it was great to meet Louise and Sara in Bath today. I was a little bit tired when I got home. I look forward to meeting up very soon again. Hopefully You will all be able to come to Burnham-on-Sea. And a saturday should be ok. Especially if its raning. ( i KNOW WE WILL be home if it rains) Long story!     Having My Band Removed

    Hi, Just wanted to tell you about me! I had my band remove 12 weeks ago due to mrsa. I am very sad. Life is hard for me because I have to diet. I no how u are feeling. U just need to take each day at a time. I live in the uk. I had to self fund my band. Our health service here would not fund the band for me. I have lost throusands of pounds and my best mate. But i am alive. Mrsa kills. But it did'nt get me ( Thank god) So hang in there and good luck. Mrs D
