  1. Definitely having to shop for clothes as a result of losing weight rather than gaining is definitely a GREAT thing! Congrats to you.
  2. Very True.... I will keep that in mind. Thanks for sharing!
  3. Congrats!!!!! I'm sure it feels absolutely amazing. I can't wait to be sleeved!!!!!
  4. Thanks so much for sharing. I am already convinced that I am getting the sleeve, but these type of stories certainly help to solidify my decision just that much more. Congrats to you!!!
  5. Wow... you look fantastic!!!! You've already come so far in such a short time!!!!!!!!!! Congrats~

    "really!"

I don't think you're being overly sensitive at all. That comment about the fat lady singing is just flat out rude. Good thing he didn't say it to me, because I'd be two seconds from pounding him into sand...friend or not. With that said, you're on your way to a wonderful place and don't let any distractors stop you. Take care of yourself, because you're worth it. We all are!!!! Good luck to you in your continued journey!
  7. Good Luck to You!!! That's very exciting!

    Nsv!

These are great NSV's. Congrats to you!!!
  9. Broken English???????????? Now that's hilarious!!! I guess we all really do have thoughts in the back of our minds that are sure to be explored after the sleeve.
  10. I simply want to live life to the fullest without restraints or insecurities!!!! I also will be going to every basketball, football, and baseball game I can possibly go to after I get sleeved. Right now those sports arena seats are just too uncomfortable!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    My Dad Is So Mad!

Well...We only have one life to live... and we have to make the best of it. Keep moving forward and don't let anyone stop you. Congrats on your decision.
  12. Wow. You would think that especially since you were there for her when she had RNY, should be there for you, but nope. This is another shining example of a person that's not truly happy with themselves, so how can they be happy for you and or support you. A true friend places their own emotions to the side, and will be there and is supportive in spite of their own feelings. I do believe in seasons... and sometimes people that you think will be in your live forever are only there for a season, meaning a certain part of your life to fulfill a purpose in your life. With or without her in your life, you're on to a greater you and that's the most important. Congrats on your journey!
  13. Those are some amazing results. Congrats to you!!!!

    14 Months Post Op

Wow... Congratulations to you!!! I so love to hear stories like this. You look very happy and this is another classic example of why am looking forward to being sleeved. LIFE CHANGING~
  16. Looking good there Slim. Definitely see a difference. Keep u the great job!
  17. I am still pre-op and haven't had this experience, but I can feel what you're saying. I believe that it is difficult to be "truly" happy for another person when you're not "truly" happy with yourself. With you losing weight, it would seem as she didn't have anything else to focus on beside her insecurities, and rather than deal with those insecurities she would rather lash out at you and make those comments. In this world, true friends are hard to come by. I only have a couple good ones that have been with me for the past 20+ years. No matter how much they might have said things over the years that may have hurt me, I've decided to forgive them and move on. Having said that.... I think it's ok as a friend to show a little bit of vulnerability and explain that the statements that she made were hurtful and and explain why. Also, you are a very beautiful young lady, and if your friend isn't secure within herself, I am sure that can be a bit intimidating. Continue to do you. You're doing great!
  18. Looking forward to a lot of things that everyone has already stated, but it all equates to one thing for me. Living life to the fullest with no restraints, no insecurities, totally free.
  19. Congratulations...youre just that much closer to a new you.
  20. This is a very interesting topic. I certainly believe that if youre unhappy in your marriage before having a life changing procedure like the sleeve, then I can definitely see it leading to divorce. Conversely, if you become truly happy with yourself it could also aid your marriage. Personally...I think its all about Options. People have more relationship options/choices as they become more physical fit. Its just the reality of the world we live in. The more options you have the less likely you are to put up with less. Now having said all that...marriage is a commitment...and having more options is not a valid reason for the dissolution of that commitment. I do wonder what percent of marriages experiences a divorce after one person receives WLS. Now that would be an interesting survey.
  21. Good luck to you. I'm sure with hard work and determination you'll make it. You've already come so far.
