  1. Did great pre-op and immediately post-op (first 2 weeks on full liquids). Down about 30 lb. Since starting on puréed diet a week and a half ago, I have lost less than a pound- has anyone else experienced this kind of plateau? I'm following the prescribed diet faithfully, but am really getting frustrated. I am exercising by walking 3 miles a day + going to the gym 3 days a week, but still nothing is happening. I was doing so great and was very excited about my decision to have the surgery, but my entusiasm is waning fast. Help!

    1 Week Post-Op

Have post-op visit today. Surgery 2 weeks ago. No nausea, no discomfort. Back to work since Monday and have beef traveling on business since Wednesday. Down 13lbs. So far. Looking forward to getting off full liquids and to being advanced to puréed diet after docotr's visit today. I want meat! ( even if it is puréed, has to be better than another protein shake!)

    1 Week Post-Op

One week post op today. Have had no nausea and no discomfort whatsoever. Still on liquid protein for another week, but have been having a scrambled egg everyday without any issues. Walking everyday, but just terribly bored. Ready to go back to work on Monday and move up to puréed diet in another week. Have lost 10 lbs. more lbs. since surgery ( had lost 26 per-op) so am already 1/3 way to my goal. Had brief moment of craving this morning ( spaghetti and meatballs, of all things- haven't eaten it in years!) but passes quickly. Just hard to tolerate so much sweet stuff- am growing to dread those shakes. Is there a non-sweet protein alternative.?
  4. My surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday, 6/27. Really hate the shakes and having a hard time getting them down, but did well until tonight. Have had a bite of this and a nibble of that all evening. Not a large quantity, but upsetting after staying with the program so well until now. Maybe it's that food funeral thing and the realization that there are so many things that I will not be able to have- a least for awhile. Think I'll go to bed early to break the cycle. Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully I can focus and stay on the plan for just 3 more days. Just don't know why I do the things I do..
  5. Surgery scheduled for 6/27 at Christus Santa Rosa Westover Hills in San Antonio. Dr. Peterson and staff have been great so far. Have stuck with the liquid protein, but dread having to drink each and every shake. Have lost 26 pounds since my first visit with Dr. Peterson in January (from 246 to 220), so am down almost two sizes before surgery. Goal weight is 135. You all have been a great inspiration,
