    My Psychological Evaluation

I haven't seen my psychologist yet, and I'm a lil worried. Nothing has really happened in my past but I have noticed I'm a stress and bored eater. I want this surgery so bad and I'm afraid I'm going to say something that will make her deny me . I'm glad you said to be honest with your phsyc because I have searched to find out what kind of questions they would be asking. Yours is the only thread about it. Please let us know your results and I will post as soon as I see my phsyc. Thank you for your information.

    I Cant Do This

My husband has been diagnosed with diabetes. He tried the meds but he didn't like the way they made him feel so for the past year he has controlled his diabetes by eating the right food which is no carbs, sugar etc. He is my number one supporter. I am looking at this surgery like he did with his diabetes. The liquid is not going to be easy...I like to crunch but sonic has good ice. I am going to do this. I have to have my life back. WE CAN DO THIS. I am still seeing drs.and nutritionist. I haven't started pre op diet yet nor do I have a date set. It's coming soon. I am so ready. Good luck to everyone that has already begun their journey to healthy skinny.
  3. I'm having mine in Fort Worth Tx. Cost for everything, surgeon, hospital stay, pre op, post op, nutritionist, anesthesiology, entire package $13,800. I don't know if that is high or low but what I've searched it's an average price. In Mexico I've researched $4,000 to $8,000. I hope this helped. Good Luck
  4. To SaraBee323 I am so sorry the amount of pain you endured til now. I pray things will continue to get better. I have never heard of being rediculed and belittled by your surgeon. Personally, I would have retained a new surgeon, even if I had to start over. If for nothing else but the peace of mind of the support of the surgeon and his staff. Please keep us posted on your progress. We are here for you. Tina

    Was Just Sleeved

Can anyone explain how the week before, the surgery , and the week after went. I can't find a thread for it. Does it hurt , where does it hurt, what's your limitations, how long were you done? In those two weeks how much weight did you lose. I'm real interested in how those two welds go. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Officially Submitted To Cigna

I am so glade Cigna paid for your sleeve, unfortunately it wasnt in the plan my husbands company had chosen. I am to see my pulmonary dr. tomorrow, then the psychologist, July 9 another visit with nut, and and last visit with surgeon before surgery BUT before my surgeon will give me my sleeve I have to pass a test with a 90 or above or he won't do it. I guess to be sure I have read all information and paid attention. Does anyone else have to pass a test. Please let me know.

    Was Just Sleeved

I am in the process of seeing the nut, the pulmonary dr., the psychologist, the nut two more times then the surgeon before even starting pre op diet. So I can get surgery date, which was told to me could be middle of August. I can't wait. My insurance would not pay even though it was considered a medical necessity. Even tho money is coming out of our pockets I want this more than anything. Can anyone tell me about the surgery, the time in the hospital and the week post surgery. I would like to know what to expect. There is one thing that is going to be hard for me to get use to is CRUNCH. I like to crunch chips, carrots, onions, bell pepper, radishes etc. From crunch to liquid then pureed...ouch lol.
  8. I'm so ready for my surgery. I'm two vistits with nut, psychologist, pulmonary dr., visit with surgeon then two weeks on pre op diet, my only fear is the all liquid diet. You see....I am a cruncher. Chips, carrots, bell pepper, garden onions, etc. How do I get through not crunching? Lol Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Officially Submitted To Cigna

I also have Cigna but the my husbands company, which the insurance is through, did not choose the plan that paid for any bariatric surgeries. I truly hope yours pays. My surgery is coming out of our own pockets. I have two more visits with nut, pulmonary dr., and phsycologist, surgeon then two weeks of pre op diet. I'm excited and ready for surgery. I have thought on this for near a year. I have one thing that I am fighting because I do not want this to interfere with my progress. I am a cruncher...chips, celery, carrotts, garden onions, bell pepper etc. I'm truly going to miss my crunch while on liquid diet. Lol Any suggestions?
