I had mine Monday. I feel better each day. Just really sore. I keep telling myself, it will get better before I know it! Congrats by the way!
-
So far so good. I have not had a lot of pain, just soreness. He had to repair a Hiatal hernia that I did not know I had. I am thinking that is where the soreness under my chest bond is coming from. I have been tolerating Water and crystal light well. I haven' really wanted anything else right now. I am so excited about the journey I am about to take. Thank you all on this board. You are an inspiration and a huge help for so many!

I was wondering about the same thing. I am fine unless I bend over or when I move a certain way. They told me no twisting or lifting over 10 lbs for two weeks. I am scared to do anything. I don't want to pull anything loose! Thankfully my bed is pretty low, so I can get in it with no problem. I do sleep in the recliner quite a bit as well.

Had My Surgery Yesterday
Rongen62 replied to Rongen62's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Day two since surgery. I still feel pretty good. I haven't really wanted anything to eat or drink but, I am making myself sip on protein drinks and crystal light. I don't have a lot of pain but, I am just really sore. I had to have a hiatal hernia repaired and that is more sore than the rest of it. I am still pretty slow to get going in the mornings but, once I am up and about, I feel fine. -

I was wondering about the chicken salad as well. I boiled some chicken pre-surgery and put it in the freezer. I figured that way, I already had some cooked and ready. -
When do the gas pains from surgery start and how long do they normally last?
-
Thanks, I have noticed if I drink too much too fast, I feel a little gas. I will take it slower. Nothing bad so far. I had read all the advice on here and started the walking right away so, maybe that is helping!

Tomorrow is my big day! I am excited, nervous and worried all rolled into one. I know this is what I need to do in order to get healthy but, part of me is afraid. I have all of these doubts swirling around in my head. What if something goes wrong and my family has to pay the price for my decision. I am trying not to let my mind run away with me but, I can't help it. If you pray, please say a prayer for me if you don't then please keep me in your thoughts! Thanks!

Pre-Op Jitters/negative People
Rongen62 replied to Peaceful1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can relate. I have only told a handful of people. My husband, kids, sister and 3 friends. The friends have either had lapband or they are going through the process to have it. I have researched this for years and with my doctors help and support, I know this is the right decision for me. I don't need the negative comments going into this so, I chose not to tell many people. I figure once I lose weight and they SEE how much better I feel and see the difference it has made, I will tell a few others. I am not going to volunteer the information to random people, only to those closest to me. People are just too judgemental and at this time in my life, I don't need that. -
November Bandster!
Rongen62 replied to paintertwins's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Two more days! I am starting to get nervous. I am so ready for it to get here be over so that I can start my journey! I have a friend who just got her approval so she will only be a little bit behind me. It will help having someone to go through this with! -
That is the way I feel. I have lost and regained too many times. I hate always thinking of what my next meal will be. I want to just NOT think of food constantly! Part of me is afraid of failure but, I really feel like this is going to be it for me! This is my last chance. My surgery is Nov. 26th and I am ready.

Surgery Is Monday! Starting To Become Emotional
Rongen62 replied to duncanrum's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How exciting! You sound like you are doing great! I am ready to get this over and get a few weeks out myself! Congrats on your success so far! -
I am getting very excited!

I have been reading a lot on here but, posted very little. This site has been very helpful. My surgery is scheduled for Nov. 26th. I had to go through a 7 month process to get to this point. I am currently on a 10 liquid diet and so far I have done really well on it. I have only told close family members a 2-3 friends. I have only told one co-worker and will be taking vacation time for my surgery. I have run into so many people who are negative about this process and chose not to tell. I know that their negativity comes from ignorance about this procedure. I don't make snap decisions and have researched this procedure for years. I feel that this is the best decision for me. I am 5'3" and my starting weight was 256lbs. I am currently at 238lbs. My goal 81 125lbs. I am excited and nervous about my future. Like many, I have failed so many times and I feel like this is my last chance at a normal life.

Surgery Is Monday! Starting To Become Emotional
Rongen62 replied to duncanrum's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine is Monday as well. I woke up feeling the same way! I am so glad it is not just me. I have clothes that I have kept for years that go all the way down to size 12. Today, I started going through them and arranging them by size. I will be able to go "shopping" in my closet! This gave me something to focus on and I found myself getting a little excited. It will be fun to get back in "those jeans" again! Just remember you are not alone! HUGS!!!! -
Is It Pathetic Im Excited I Can Now Shop@ Victorias Secret?
Rongen62 replied to show1980's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
No, that is exciting! That is one of my goals. I only shop there now for my daughter. I can't wait to walk in and feel like I BELONG there! Congratulations! -
Thank you so much for the welcome. The center I am going through to have my procedure has a great group of girls that don't mind answering questions. I am so thankful for that. Some of them have had lapband so that is a huge help. It helps though to talk to others who are on the same journey you are. I have found a lot of helpful information on here already.
