  1. it's ok that you haven't lost any at this point, some even gain a little at this stage...once you start getting your fills, and feeling the restriction, you should start to lose...hang in there

    Hungry Every Two Hrs

Protein shakes, chicken broth (high protein helps ward off the hunger for a bit)...I would stay away from carbs, as they tend to make you crave more...water, sf popscicles, and coffee were my alliesas well

    Put To Sleep For Surgery?

LOL...I didn't count either...I remember getting on the table, having warm blankets put on me, then thinking 'alright, lets get this show on the road' next thing I knew, they were waking me up in recovery...and I was irritated...it was such a lovely sleep

    Decrease Med Doses??

    Thats what I was thinking...Thanks!!
  6. I'm not on any prescribed meds, therefore never really thought about this before...Do we need to decrease the doses of meds, such as over the counter meds (ie benadryl, tylenol, motrin)??? I know with alcohol the absorbtion rate is quicker, was wondering if anyone had input on this??
  7. I was miserable with pain almost a full week and a half...would I do it again?? ABSOLUTELY...It's so worth it...hang in there!!

    Those With Little Ones..

Definitely want to follow Dr's orders...sitting on the couch for cuddle time is a great idea...I know it can be tough, but you don't want to risk harming yourself, and taking a longer recovery time...taking care of yourself is the best way to ensure your taking care of those precious little ones!!
  9. ahhhh, yes..forgot to include that...I also stay away from the 'freezer meals'...and only eat out about twice a month...cooking most of my meals, substitute turkey for practically all meats...

    Post Op Diet Cheat--Damage?

This is a learning process, it takes time...I'm sure we've all slipped from time to time...the important thing is to not get discouraged, to get right back on track...sorry for your loss...
  11. I don't track anything...I stay away from anything fried, bread, and sweets...have pasta occasionally...for me it's all about portion control...7 weeks postop and I've lost 35 lbs (overall, including 2 weeks preop)...

Going On 12 Days Post Op

It is normal to be tender amd sore, as long as your incision isn't reddened and warm (signs of infection) as far as the weakness goes, I was the same way...severe lack of energy...I started back to 3 protein shakes a day (plus the mushy food) and it helped CONSIDERABLY!! I know you consider them a meal, however you have to look at the overall picture...I like the EAS shakes...high protein, Low Carb...
