I was banded yesterday 9/5 and im starting to regret that i had this done, is this normal? I dont know if its all the pain thats getting to me, i mean ive had 4 plastic surgerys and by the next day i was fine, this one im in so much pain its not even funny. and "food" lets see all i was able to get down today total was about 6 oz of chicken broth, maybe 3-4 oz of water and now im having 3 oz of jello i hope in a week or so i wont regret this still

Yes I am 1 week post op and every night I'm still sleeping with ice packs on my side n stomach

Omg I'm in the same situation as you I wake up around 1-3 am starving I can't wait to eat "real food" lol

Why is it that the people who have the realize band able to eat foods faster then the lapband? ive been googling to try and see if i can find an answer but nothing is showing As per the paper my surgeon gave me: Full liquids 1 week realize band 2 weeks lapband soft foods 1 week later realize band 2 weeks lap soilds 1 week later realize 2weeks lapband comparing them they are very similar so why is it they can eat before lapbanders?

on the doctors instructions it showed they can eat foods sooner then lapbanders, i was just curious as to why. i guess it was the drs choice

im getting better im still in some pain .....im glad you feel great!!! hopefully its smooth sailing for you

I'm post op 4 days. Day 1 -2 I regretted it big time mostly because of all the pain I was in .... The regret is still subsiding but I still am wondering if all this pain is worth it

Mine was 2 days clear 2 weeks liquid 2 weeks mushy

Anyone know of any besides muscle milk light? tomorrow i start my full liquids so i know my 3 flavors will get boring very quick in 2 weeks thanks for your help!

ive been making my own on the pre op diet i was using nectar unflavored but i was getting sick after drinking my shakes so i will get there tomorrow and see what they have thanks

Today is a bit better I took the Vicodin last night and was able to sleep most of the night I am able to "eat" a little more I had almost 1/2 a thing of jello and I feel like I can eat more so I'll probally finish that off soon. On a scale of 1-10 my pain is prob a 5 I took some Tylenol now I'm just feeling discomfort but it does hurt when I walk around ... Thank you all for your support

after these past 3 days of not eating i better have lost 50lbs!! lol jk i will update tomorrow as to what i feel, i def. feel better then i did yesterday but im still in seriously alot of pain, they gave vicodin to take but they said it makes you nauseous so im debating if i want to take it i hate to feel sick and vomit and im sure its not safe at this point either to be vomiting, im due for my next pain meds around midnight i will see how i feel then

i just tried unjury unflavored with that crystal light they give, i honestly almost threw up it had a bad taste

I have nectar non flavored it's ok there's a LITTLE after taste I tried dramatize chocolate mint that's pretty good I got my unjury in last week didn't try it yet... My surgery isn't until sept but I wanted a head start knowing which I like and don't like also if you email muscle milk they will send you samples for free

Hi All my date is Sept 5 .....im nervous and excited...nervous because we still didnt get an answer from the insurance and the whole liquid stage kinda freaks me out

i use the ninja i love it......im not sure about the ratio for smoothies though sorry. i make fresh fruit ones( i cut up and freeze the fruit), add a little juice and powder and i just keep adding whatever i think to make it the way i like it.......my 2 boys like it too they are 4 and 2

im hoping the doctor says 2 lol......i have two young children so taking it easy wont be so easy lol.....very nice! can you see the cut? im hoping the dr is able to do that. Im glad it wasnt too bad for you!

Hi my name is Cynthia, im from Brooklyn, NY I have 1 consult schedualed and a seminar i must attened before i can go to a consult with another doctor(im not sure if im allowed to post which doctors) . Im very excited about this, it seems like the past 4-5 years i just keep ganining and gaining weight no matter how much i diet or go to the gym .....im undecided if i want the lapband (which is covered by insurance) or the sleve (im not sure if thats covered). Im sure im probally going to have a million questions for all you "banders" so thanks ahead of time!

yes i was thinking about that too, but again im not sure if the insurance covers it, when i go to the consult i will see what he suggests, im looking to lose about 70-80lbs and i need to see what the whole procedure i need to do regarding the insurance
