I am just completely annoyed right now. I had surgery last August and have dropped some weight. But now, does not seem like I can lose anything. I have not really lost any weight since January. My doctor told me to just go back on phase 1 Southbeach Diet. I have increased exercise to walk two to three miles each day but still have not gotten anywhere!

See, and I will be one year on Aug 22 and have not lost since Jan. I am so upset by this. I dont know why either. Not eating bad, exercising as much as possible.

I had sleeve surgery in August 2012. Down about 60 lbs. Have about 80 to 100 lbs more to loose. But I have hit a wall. Any ideas how to jump start weight loss again?

still follow the diet, well minus some cheating here or there. I am trying to exercise, mostly by walking. I am doing the walk away the pounds dvd. You know the one. With that skinny lady and her skinny friends. Makes me want to sit down with a ten pack of Reese Peanut Butter cups and just watch! (like I could even eat three of those candies!) I think I just need to snap out of my winter weather funk and embrace that nice weather! Btw~ Thats ok for a guy to sneak into the girls threads. At least we know that it is something that never changes no matter what size you are :-)

I had sleeve surgery on Aug 7, 2012. I weighed in on surgery day at 296. I am down to 238. I thought the weight would have been down a lot more than that by now. Is this the norm?

I had Gastric Sleeve in Aug of this year and am losing weight of an average of about 10lbs per month. I am prefering to sell clothes first on this site rather than doing the whole consignment shop thing. Most of my clothes are Woman Within/Lane Bryant. Have t shirts, dress shirts, jeans, khakis, nursing smocks, etc. If interested, just email me and I will send picture of the clothing article. All clothing is stain free, "gently worn".

So I had my surgery on 8/7/12. And I just have one question that no one can seem to answer.- How do you make this work?

I had gastric sleeve on 8/7/12 and am down about 20lbs. I am so angry. I mean, I see these pictures in here where it seems like EVERYONE who is ANYONE is loosing weight. I feel like I am not. I was told this was going to be a fast way to loose the weight. And it is not. Granted, I can not eat the amount I used to, but I am so upset that I can not loose more weight, even with me exercising. am I the onyl one here dealing with this? What do others suggest I do?

I work full time and sit at a desk for 4 days of the week-10 hour shifts. Are there any simple exercises that others suggest that would be helpful yet not kill someone who has a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis? I am will to take ANY suggestions! Thanks for your imput!!!

I agree. yet my husband had banding and feels totally defeated. breaks my heart when he is litterally crying to the dr about his weight. yet I am the loud mouth italian who cries because I am not a walking miracle!

I walk and I am contremplating doing the elipticle at the gym(provided I don't fall flat on my face!)

I work for doctors and there are 4 flights of stairs here. So I try to do at least 28 flights per day. But it just is not helping. I think i am going to just go back to my liquid diet since that worked

ok on pureed stage and am sooooo sick of pureed chicken, ham and eggs. Any advice? Need something quick, simple..yet appetizing. HELP!!

We have a four year old. Granted it was all talk when we opted to not be so "careful" anymore and thought it would happen when God wants it to happen. He was nothing but talk until the baby came. I was the one up in the middle of the night, I was the feeder, I was the burper, I did laundry, I cleaned, I did it all. He did the cooking....yet we both worked. Then people still ask me to this day why we are not having any more kids.....Um I wonder why!!! I wound not given up, sometimes they turn around. When he gets frustrated with the house not being done to his satisfaction, he cleans. Same thing with dishes. Sometimes they need you to be a little "too busy" tending to other things to get things done to their satisfaction. Good luck with everything :-D

Has anyone had a change in their spouses once they had VGS? I am scheduled for surgery on 8/7/12 and the closer the days get to surgery, the more arguments my husband starts with me. Any suggestions?

I am tryng to be reassuring that I am not leaving....even made a joke and told him "divorce is not and option". But apparently, within my wording and loud Italian voice, it came across more of a threat. So that now is a joke with us and the mood between us went from tense to lightheartedness! He even told me he took off for a week. But I think that is more to see what I am going through. I am hoping he will get this surgery.

I am 13 days pre-op and just wondering about them liquid diet. I need to do two weeks full liquids and am looking for any suggestions on how to survive this nasty phase!

I am actually so thanfull for everyone sharing their thought on this subject. I am very relieved to say that I spoke with my husband and he was afraid of me leaving. Now I am focusing on my post op diets!

so scared this is going to turn into another gastric failure. Any suggestions to ensure my decision of getting VGS is going to work?
