I was banded on Monday. No its not fun but yes its bearable. Do not be afraid to use your meds! I was prescribed 2 spoons every 4 hrs. I took it every 4 hours. You'll sleep a lot . I made myself walk every 2 hours (really helps) Gas x strips & my rice bag are my friends. Today Ive not needed pain med at all. A little sore at port site but standing straighter. You've come this far...You can do it!

Its my 4th day post op & I'm doing good. Gas pain sucks but my rice bag is my best friend. CANNOT BELIEVE I DID IT! So happy for my new life to begin!!!!!!

I've drank my magnesium citrate, took my shot of lovenox and I'm ready for bed. Getting admitted 5AM for my band! Please pray for me & my sweet children (that's why I'm doing this) Thanks for all posts to help ease my mind. Ive researched everyday & learned more everyday. I'm praying for all that have up coming dates. We've come along way & we are going to do great!

I'm getting mine on Monday! I feel your fear. Somehow I'm at peace today. Sunday I'm sure its going to hit me like a bus but I'm praying for strength & peace for us all

I'm down 11 lbs in 8 days on liquids (had to eat a little meat due to nausea & headache) Nurse called to give me arrival time. 500 AM MONDAY!!!!!!!! Calm today & hoping it lasts -
Surgery 7/23. So EXCITED-NERVOUS & for some reason a little depressed. Started liquids today

I'm praying for you to be calm & at peace. I'm having surgery. 7/23 & I'm feeling the same way. We've come this far for a reason. Pray & keep busy today. I'm kinda in a "nesting" mode to utilize all this NERVOUS energy. Let us hear from you tomorrow. You'll do great

Yay for you! I am really happy for you. Any advise will be appreciated. I only started really trying to lose 7/4. As of today I'm down 8 LBS! SHOULDVE tried harder earlier. Anything you can share to help me with liquids? How long before you were feeling okay? I have small children & I'm worried about being out of commission for them. Thanks. for your help

I was also told to use cpap machine for minor apnea. I have had it for 2 weeks. (Not so bad) Surgeon requires me to bring it to surgery -
