  1. I had my 2nd fill and went to 4 cc. I can't eat ANYTHING. I did the liquid diet for 48 hours and couldn't keep much down with that. Now I'm onto soft foods (knowing that I won't be able to tolerate solids) and I STILL spit everything up. I will immediately get a burning sensation in my chest that doesn't go away until I spit up. I am hungry (not as hungry as before...but still hungry) but just can't seem to get anything to go down.

  2. I am a 19th banded too and I'm doing pretty well. I'm still on my full liquids stage too and am drinking a lot of smoothies. I'm enjoying trying different Soups too though. My biggest complaint is that I have thrush and it makes some things taste awful, like Water. It doesn't matter what I mix with it, it's still awful! Apple juice tastes wonderful for some reason so I'm drinking a lot of that. I'm definitely not getting the 64 ounces of Fluid my doctor recommends.

Which soups are you finding that you like? I can't stand a lot of them... I'm just having a hard time with the "cream of" soups. They seem to rich to me!

  3. I'm not a July 20th Bandster but I am a July 19th Bandster :) I am STARVING! I called my dr. yesterday and spoke with the nurse. She said I can't move on to soft food until he sees me... which isn't until next week :( So I'm still just doing the creamy liquid diet. I've made LOTS of smoothies and I've been eating babyfood (fruits and stuff... the pouch things).

So far I have lost 14 lbs since the pre-surgery diet.

  4. I just had my surgery on Thursday (June 19th). I had a hiatal hernia that was corrected at the same time. I know I can't lift more than 10 lbs and I'm trying my best, but with a 30 lb 2 year old it is hard not to.

Now I am SO SORE on the inside... almost like something has been pulled/bruised.

I'm starving, of course I'm starving so I can't figure out sometimes if I'm hungry or aching...

  5. Hi! I'm from Macon, GA and am going to be having my lapband surgery on July 19th with Dr. Bagnato. I am SHOCKED that my insurance company approved me on the first try! I am glad I found this forum to come to and ask my millions of questions.

My family isn't too supportive of this decision. They think I should lose weight the "old fashioned" way and think I'm just trying to take the easy way out. It's irritating because I HAVE TRIED the old fashioned way! I had to do 6 months of dieting prior to this and guess how much I lost? NOTHING.

I look forward to getting to know folks and hopefully see great results soon!

  6. Hi! I'm from Macon also. I'm having my surgery on July 19th. I've had a few surgeries- 2 c-sections, tonsils, laproscopic, etc. I'm not at all worried about this one for some reason.

I am so excited to get it done! Maybe we can have our own little "macon" support group. I was surprised at how hard it was to find someone to do the psych eval and nutritional eval that my insurance required.
