Thank you both for your advice. I checked my fitness pal logging and I am getting more than the required amount of protein. Maybe I need some zinc. I hope it slows down and as you mention new hair should also be growing. Thanks for your replys!

Good for you Carrie! I am soon to be 58 and I was banded 6/25/12. My brother died almost 3 years ago at age 62 from obesity related comorbid conditions. I vowed to get healthy now. I have lost 40 lbs now! I feel amazing. It is a hard road, nothing in life is easy!

Good luck to you! You've done your research, you will do great!

You can do this! Continue to read this forum, so many great people here that will support you. My Fitness Pal is also a great free app to log your food and exercise. It keeps me on track. Here is a quote I found on this site that meant a lot to me during my struggles. This isn't a sprint, it's a lifelong race, but we can do it. YOU can do it! Hang in there and it will come. I wish out the best, you deserve it!

In the morning I dice up some thin sliced ham and put in a small fry pan, then I poor in egg beaters and break up a slice of lite Swiss cheese on top. You can add salsa if you like. It fills me up and sometimes I take half for lunch. Cottage cheese is good, canned tuna or canned chicken, you can doctor it up by adding celery and other ingredients.

How about bean with cheese. I wrap ham and light Swiss, tofu and egg beater omelet

I make a mixture of ricotta cheese, Herseys cocoa powder, Splenda and you can add a tiny bit of vanilla. It tastes good and is high in protein. -
