Sleeved June 28 @211, now 184, slow but losing nevertheless. 40 to go!

Caffeine, rice, chicken turkey, basically my sleeve can handle anything in small well chewed portions! Good, and not so good. Lost 20 in 30 days, on my way to feeling better and better every day!!

Day 7, great pain reliever!!

when I was sleeved on a Wednesday I vomited "old" blood, painful and scary and tasted horrid from Wednesday to Friday. Then once I got home took it slow, drank less sips, got on my acid reducer, took only warm drinks it stopped, now I'm 13 days out and haven't even been nauseous.

223 bmi 38.5 highest weight in February 211 day of surgery 6/28 197 on 7/11, bmi 32.9!! But I just bought the forgot scale and am leaning about body fat count now, and I am 45+, gotta work out too.

My appt with dr le included strict instructions to lose 11 pounds in 4 to 6 weeks, i did it in 3, so he scheduled my preop 6/19 and my surgery 6/28. I stayed overnight and have been recouping easily at home. Most of the day id never know i had surgery, but then i eat, and i quickly realize i was sleeved. My hospital stay was ok. The nurses tried hard, but they were busy! The morphine and i are enemies,and the liquid tylenol with codeine made me nauseous. Ask for something else like liquid vicodin! When i threw up it scared me [ im a wuss when i throw up] Dr le is amazing with the scalpel and stitching. I have no scarring,no drains, no pain. At 13 days, they are essentially gone. Good luck, you wont need it.

Three mornings in a row, exactly @540 am i wake up with a burning, almost hangover, rot gut, morning sickness feeling. No real regurge, no acid refux, just achy, burning, queasy in breat bone. I get up, sip on warm decaf coffee with half and half, take my morning rx for acid and sit up. Takes two hours to relieve. Is it hunger, from laying in bed...common?

Onederfull!our stories are similar but i have 20 years on you, 3 kids, and many many more yoyo and diets! Surgery at 211, weighed 199 yesterday after 7 days post op! We rock!!!

Im on an acid reducer, take it 30 minutes before breakfast, but I've been taking it at 540am the last three days, sleeved 8 days ago

Congratulations , and welcome to the losers bench! Your experience was almost exactly like mine, just last Wednesday, except i had vomiting, heparin in my arm muscle!,and no leak test, they did it while i was under, weird! Take care, would love to connect and see how things go.

Im 7 days today, and need to walk more, shoulder pain with every burp!!!!!

Im now 7 days post op, lower bp and pulse since leaving the operating room. While they are not worried, i read online about damage to the vagus nerve can occur with stomach surgery. Hmmm

I too was sleeved wednesday and have all left side pain, ribs, shoulder, even my headache is localized to that side. Talk to your doc, there is no dumb question!! Feel better!
