No. I am waiting for my insurance to approve the surgery. Tracy said it takes Emory 5 days for it to go through their precerification process than it will go to my insurance company. When did you get your preop date? Was it after your last supervised diet appointment? I don't even have a preop date. Did your insurance already approve your surgery? -

Do you ladies have a date yet? I just want to know the timeframe from the pre-op testing to the actual day of surgery. -

I am getting sleeved at Emory Midtown too, but by Dr. Davis. I just wanted to wish you much luck and a speedy recovery. Do you have a date? -
I have BCBS (Federal) of Georgia and I have to do a 3 month medically supervised diet. I am not sure if it is different because I am federal or because mine is through the state of Georgia.

What Are You Looking Forward To?
SuiteV replied to note2bear's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
-I am looking forward to not having asthma and sinus problems. I can't wait to be able to BREATH again! -I can't wait for people to not think I am my twin sisters mother! -I also can't wait to be the girl that can walk into a store and say I paid under $20 for my WHOLE outfit (including shoes.) -
My first appointment is July 19 with my NUT. I won't speak to the surgeon's office until after my 3 mth supervised diet . I just wanted to get an idea of how much money I need to set aside for the next couple of months for the surgery.
-
Thank you I have already searched BCBS federal and have found great information but I haven't found the answer to this particular question.

I am scheduled for my first appointment with a nutritionist at Emory Hospital in Atlanta for my insurance company 3 month supervised diet requirement. I wanted to know do I have to complete the 3 month diet first and then schedule an appointment with a surgeon and psychologist or can it be done at the same time?

I am looking forward to learning everything that I can during this time. My perception of food is out of wack. I find myself thinking I rather starve than think about what I want to eat because I am extremely picky eater.
-
Really? I heard somewhere there is a $600 program fee that is out of pocket but I can't find that anywhere on the website. Is that true?
-
Thank you everyone for your response.
-
You didn't have to pay $150 for the surgeon fee? Do you have basic or standard?
-
Wow Cheles! That is wonderful.
