    One Week Post-Op!

All surgeons are different of course but he said he considered grit and oatmeal liquid if they were runny enough to drink through a straw, but don't use a straw! I either added extra water to the grits or extra milk to the oatmeal. Good luck!

Did You Keep Your Surgery A Secret?

I told my friends and family. I told some coworkers too because they are always making snacks and goodies that I used to eat....suddenly I had to decline because I was on my pre op liquid diet! Everyone has been very supportive. It is also easier for them to understand when yiu can't eat somethin that they have cooked and want you to share!

    Pain Under Left Breast

I had gas pain up under my breasts at times that hurt like that. Try gas x in the morning and at night. That'll rule out gas, or make it better.

    One Week Post-Op!

By the way, I told my surgeon I was starving at my one week follow up. He didn't have any sympathy! I begged for a fill and food. He wouldn't budge.

    One Week Post-Op!

It was that bad for me! After the first week of clear liquids, I was allowed to do full liquids. That included runny oat meal and grits. Being a southern girl, I lived on runny grits! I even added soft goat cheese to add some flavor I the quick instant ones. Hang in there it really sucks, but gets a Lot Better really soon! Drink a Lot of water. That helps to keep you full.

    When Did They Notice?

Also, I am definately noticing the clothes difference. This is more important for me anyway. I am working out and exercising now, so I am building muscle. I like go focus on the clothes more than the weight.

    When Did They Notice?

My daughter was gone for 3 weeks for the summer. I had my surgery right when she left. When I picked her up at the airport she noticed and said I was "all tiny" now! Funny, I am far from tiny and had only lost about 20 lbs from when I saw her!
  22. I like my scars! I guess I am weird though:) they are a reminder for me.
  23. I am a month out. I get my fill next week. I have been stuck a few times if I take too big of a bite or eat too fast. Slow down and chew!
