Not yet judy, but planning on having some of it this week. The king fish made some wonderful looking 2 inch steaks. I may cut them smaller since there is no way I could eat that much fish at one sitting..lol! I'm going to smoke the shark filets with a nice applewood. That will probably this next weekend. It will be my first time having shark and I am looking forward to it.

What Kind Of Job Do Tou Have?

Jen, I have been doing my job for almost 10 years now and it never gets old! Yes I love it very much! Being a huge movie buff I really enjoy seeing the movie trailers before anyone else...Of course I also have to watch some pretty crappy commercials too. -

I'm a digital media technician. I watch and QC HD movie trailers and commercials before they are distributed to the TV stations. I sit at a desk most of the day. I took off 3 days + the weekend so 5 days total. -
I love the babybel cheeses or string cheese. Also a banana is a great snack!

Stop! Put Down The Potato Chips And Walk Away!
xsentrick commented on JustMeDee's blog entry in STOP! Put down the potato chips and walk away!
These habits and addictions didn't occur overnight and they won't go away that fast wither.....in fact, this will probably be a life long battle. It will be hard, we may falter, but in the end we must prevail! I say to myself every morning when I wake up "This day I battle...this day I will fight hard, this day I WILL be the victor!" You're already working on your eating habits, which is good, but work harder to fight the boredom and the mind hunger. Instaed of chips...keep a hand tensioner that will work out your fingers, wrist and forearms while sitting at your desk. It has helped me. Good luck and always look to the LBT for support! -

You're not alone. Food addiction is very serious...trust me, I know! When I first looked into the band I wondered to myself and worried...could I actually be THIS committed?!? You are correct in that it is about retraining the mind...learning new eating habits and just making better food choices. The band is no easier than a diet...it is just an additional tool, as you said. You can do this...you know what you have to do. No more excuses. I play guitar...not well, but I play. When I feel the urge to eat or I get mind hungry...I pick up my guitar and practice until my fingers are sore. Placing the focus elsewhere is what helped me. It might be able to help you. Take a up new hobby or revisit an old one. Something that you can focus on when those addictions come knockin on the door again......most importantly.....drink your water! I wish you success and joy on your continued journey. It's not too late to do it right.
