    2 Week Post Op Woohoo!

Never realized how delicious cottage cheese and yogart are. I not doing well with the water either. I also average 20 oz. a day..I was sleeved on 11/14. Not getting full on my soft/puree. See the nut. Tomorrow..good luck..
  7. Your so not alone. I was sleeved 11/14.. I have been experiencing the exact thing since I was home from the hospital. I have been eating and drinking without a problem. I have been eating alot less due to fear that I would cause a problem to my stomach. Yestersay was the first time I had a feeling that I was going to vomit..my stomach didnt feel full but I felt like the food was sitting in my throat. After it passed, I called my mother to share the exciting news with her. That was the feeling I have been waiting for..lol I wentil to the surgeon post op day 5 and shared my concerns with her. She did seem a little surprised. She then told me I wasn't drinking enough Water.. Then suggested I see the psychologist and dietitian. I have my appt. On tuesday with the dietitian. I plan on showing her how I can tolerate 4 oz. cottage cheese down quickly in seconds. The fact that she wanted me to see the psychologist pissed me off. This is something I cannot make up. I need to drink water.. I have not been doing well with that. Your not alone.. Private message me if you want to talk more or hear the outcome on tuesday.. I know its very dissapointing. We have been waiting for this..good luck

    Calling All Nurses!

If the surgical site is not red, oozing or have a bad odor it sounds ok. Steri strips usually stay on for 7-10 days. Just let MD know if you develop any signs of infection.

    Mourning Food

I was sleeved on the 14th too. I was allowed to start yogart, soups, puddings and cottage cheese. I have spoken to and also have 2 friends were sleeved. One was 56th months ago and she is eating regular food, small amounts. My other friend was sleeved over a year ago and she is also eating and tolerating small portions of regular food. Only lost 4 lbs. My doctor told me its not uncommon due to all the IV fluids.. I sure hope so. I have been so disappointed since then.. I cannot give up....

    Steri Strips

I am a nurse. We tell our post op patients that the steri steps usually fall off about 7-10 days. My surgeon took them off on day 5. Way to early. The incisions are so tender still..
