6 months post op and oh so very stalled
tara1021 replied to DuranFan1969's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I could have written this post! I'm 6 months out and down 90lbs. My first goal is 100 by 12/31. Hmmmmm. I'm exercising, but the snacking needs to get a k under control. With the busyness of the holidays I'm not eating the way I was. -

When You Were 3 Months Post-Op Vsg How Many Pounds Had You Lost?
tara1021 replied to Karen2012's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 3 months out and own 72 lbs. -
And vomiting bc you are too full is not like when you are sick. It comes up very easily. I'm 8 weeks out and still get sick 2-3 times a week. Mostly bc I've eaten too fast, therefore too much.

It's basically a spandex tube to hold your unbuttoned/unzipped pants up. Check it out on the motherhood maternity website.

SO I was talking with a friend yesterday about the fact that I was going to have to go shopping today for some work clothes because school starts Monday and my pants are all falling off. I had an epiphany. When I was pregnant I bought Bella bands to be able to wear my pants longer when I didn't need maternity clothes yet and then wore them after as well. Well, why not apply that same principle to weight loss? So, I bought my pants tight today at lane Bryant along with a belly band at motherhood. It's freaking genius! I'll be able to wear te pants before they actually button, therefore getting longer wear out of them!

tara1021 replied to tara1021's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'll be 7 weeks out Monday. This is my first plateau. I guess that's one thing to be thankful for! -
UGh! This is frustrating. Up a lb, down a lb. been doing this for a week. I understand that my body needs to catch up. I'm down 55 lbs so far. It's just......UGH!!

Normal. Chew some tums or take something like Zantac or Pepcid.

Done With Actigall. Side Effects?
tara1021 replied to AliveAgain's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My dr doesn't prescribe it anymore. He said that the research shows that there isn't a whole lot of difference between taking it and not so he quit a few months ago. My daughter has liver disease a takes it. We have to get it compounded. -

3 Weeks Out And So Tired!
tara1021 replied to totlyspld's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I started taking b12 and it really helped. The first 3 weeks were exhausting! It's gotten much better 6 weeks out! -
I have premier shakes in the fridge. And I do like them, but the thought of drinking one right now nauseates me. I'm real careful with the lemonade and won't drink it unless ive eaten something prior to. It tastes crazy good though! :-)
