My Boyfriend Left Me

You need a support system right now. Do you have anyone? Reach out for help when you need it, you will be so happy with your weightloss soon and you will realize he is a jerk that you don't need. I know right now it seems impossible but your life is on its way to becoming better and better. Be ready and smile for yourself and your child. If you ever need to just talk send me a message. -

Ok thank you! I'm going to drink some gatorade. I have had low potassium on my blood work but this was before surgery. Thanks so much for the advice! -

Antidepressants After Surgery

I haven't researched lexapro but the switch from pristiq to lexapro was a smooth one for me. -
Has anyone used this to up their protein intake? I was going to give it a try, wanted to see what yall thought about it?

Ps - instant mashed potatoes are easier to digest and maybe minus the gravy for a while.

I would think that you should consider your diet to be the same as someone 3 weeks out. Since you just had surgery on an area that just had surgery then you are most likely swollen and still healing. Start to baby your stomach as if it is only three weeks out. Go back to protein drinks and/or broths with protein powder added. Sip your fluids again and take no more than an ounce of broth or cream soup at a time. Now this is just my thoughts, but checking with your doctor is best. I do think your stomach is just healing again and needs tender care and time. I sure hope this helps I'm so sorry you are going thru this, have you asked your doctor?

How long ago was your second surgery? I would think you would need to restart your liquids to mushy to soft foods routine again since your stomache is healing from another surgery. If it was on your stomache? I stay upright for about 30 minutes at the least after eating or drinking anything. Can u tell me more about your second surgery? I'm 6 weeks out and just got approved for soft foods. On week 3-5 I was on mushy foods.

Antidepressants After Surgery
lessofmeismore replied to Looking Ahead's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Right after surgery is definitely not the time. I have taken celexa and zoloft, those were two of the *easier* ones to come off of but effexor and pristiq and those time released ones are hard to come off... Just switch for the time you need to heal and take a substitute then u can go back. As for the weight gain I haven't had any problems, I do know going off it caused me a lot of problems. IMO I think its best to stay on them. -
Antidepressants After Surgery
lessofmeismore replied to Looking Ahead's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can probably take it normal now, I haven't switched back as of yet. My Dr. Prescribed me 3 months of lexapro. The time release crushed is horrifying, it made my heart race, sweat, and I was so sick. I would definitely consult with your surgeon on what to take, but don't go without. I went without and was doing really bad..as soon as I started back on an anti depressant I was good. -

I was on prestiq, same thing, I vomited every time. They called me in lexapro, its tiny and can be swallowed whole. Life saver!!! -
My stomache has a very empty feeling at night, it feels like I'm hungry but its there even after I have a snack. It's really a yuck feeling to try and fall asleep with, anyone have insight to what it may be? I do take dexilant in the morning for acid stomache. Any ideas?

My back started hurting really bad and I had to start really drinking my water. Try to drink more water and start taking your chewable vitamins. I take flinstone complete they have it at the drug stores (walgreens, cvs) it will get better but focus on helping your body heal. Give it water and protein drinks.. I use premier chocolate ready to drink. Or add protein powder to whatever cream your eating.... This is just temporary, remember that, just give your body a chance to heal Water and protein -
