    Macho Cheese Doritos

I agree! This thread is awesome. The question was answered and we got to go down memory lane with some very witty posters. I was smiling each time I read the responses. It was nice. Laughter is a good thing and the people posting were enjoying each others posts. I did not see anyone laughing *at* someone. It was a great exchange of info and fun.

I Can't Wait To Not Have To...

Jusstice, I know what you mean!! I want a purse that crosses over my body. My daughter has the cutest black coach purse that she wears across her body and leaves her hands free. I WANT that!! I think that will be a lil gift to myself when I'm at goal.

    Complications After Surgery.

Hey Kimberlee, its good to hear from you, please continue to keep us updated. I was wondering since your now on bed rest and still newly sleeved, are you doing that breathing thing spirometer? I'm unsure the exact name... I just want to make sure your lungs stay clear. Are they letting you do some hard coughing to keep clear or is that too dangerous? You are in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy successful recovery!

Jr, Just don't do it, not this early out. Now is the time to learn new Eatting habits, after u hit goal then u can on occasion go off and eat some junk food. The first six months you want to invest in weight loss and changing the habits that created our obesity. Good luck, think positive and skinny thoughts

    Diabetes

Hey Msvickee, try not to worry. I haven't heard of anyone getting diabetes after vsg. My honest opinion is you're okay but I'm not a doctor and checking it out is a good idea. For right now, stay positive!! Hormones can cause skin discoloration, I got it a lot and our bodies are putting out tons of hormones right now. I'll be praying for you! Keep smiling, its going to be ok *hugs*

    Truthful Regrets, Anyone?

Hey gettingsleevedintexas, I'm 4 months out and your daily intake is just like mine. Anymore than that and I'm miserable. I've just come to accept that I will never eat like I used to and actually I'm so glad!!!

    Truthful Regrets, Anyone?

I think the regrets fade over time. I think when you start seeing results and you remember to look at before pictures and start to feel healthy and lighter, it is then that its easier to say goodbye to how we use to be..the unfortunate truth is we abused our bodies with bad food/too much food and now we are at the other extreme..very little food and its got to be healthy to make it count. Just hang on, your really early out...give yourself time to accept the changes and embrace them.
  15. Hi Sannah, Im almost 4 months out but I still feel like I just got my new sleeve. After your surgery always remind yourself that you are healing and the struggle is temporary. You will temporarily have to be consumed with treating your body very well and giving it what it needs to heal. It does feel over whelming but it helps to remember its only for a little while. If you start to mourn your old life style thats okay too but I promise you that as time goes on you will be so happy you made this decision. Another thing is try try not to obsess over the scale and never compare your journey to others. I believe as much as we all share on our journey, each and everyone of us has an unique journey so love yourself and think skinny thoughts! ps... it really really is a tiny tiny amount we can eat before getting full so trust your body, if after a few tiny bites your feeling it. its time to stop. even if it seems you just began hehe I feel that way every meal lol best of luck to you!!!!!!

135 Since My Surgery On 12/19/12

    Excellent!! You're looking really good!!
  17. Hey I feel like I should have asked more actually. My surgeon held a seminar before I made my appt. And that was very informative. I was just so excited to be there lol... I hope you get some good answers, one thing I forgot to ask and later was curious about, was the bougie size. Also I asked about the medicines I was taking and if they were ok to continue before and after.

I had pickles chopped up in my tuna. I didn't have any problem but a quick call to your drs office might ease your mind.

    Smoking After Surgery

I totally understand, I quit about 5 years ago because I was getting bronchitis and pneumonia all the time and quitting was so hard and I didn't have anything else going on in my life like major surgery and life change. It was hard, hard but I did succeed and my lungs got better, thank goodness. I have faith you'll be able to do it when you are ready. Just always remind yourself you're strong enough and you can do it, if needed.

hi im megan and im a skow loser...

Hi Sharon! Not to worry, you're having the three week stall... Almost everyone goes thru it. You can search *three week stall* and finds loads of people worried just like you. I stalled for weeks but I measured myself and I still lost inches just not weight. Don't worry, your doing fine. Just keep doing the correct things and you will get smaller

My Dr. gave my mom pictures of my surgery. Everything he did, and she threw them away saying I wouldn't want to see that it was gross. I was like whaaaaaa? Thanks mom (not) -__-
