Milk of magnesia is different than magnesium citrate. Magnesium Citrate is normally used for the cleanse before surgery. -

Yes they can because constant pain can cause nausea Do you have a prescription for zofran? It's a little melt away pill you put under your tongue I used it lots and lots the first 6 weeks! It's a miracle pill Your surgeon can call in a prescription for you -

My dr prescribed me Xanax to help with the sleeplessness and it made me get up and raid my cabinets/refrigerator. I cannot take it because then I start snacking instead of sleeping. Ugh -

My surgeon gave us a journal to fill in weekly. It had arms, thighs, waist, hips, chest, even left arm right arm lol etc etc It actually was great because some weeks the scale would not budge but I was losing inches every where! I say definitely start! It can be what ever parts you want but measuring all over is great because you get to see that you are losing -

Why are you not taking your pain meds? This surgery is hard enough, no need to suffer needlessly Take your pain meds... It will help you to walk and get your fluids in Thank you for sharing your story! Every day should get better and better but take your medicine -
Yes I can relate... Well I did eat during the day... But I did a lot of eating at night I still struggle with that... I think it's a hard habit to break Something I still struggle with

I didn't weigh myself until 10 days post op and then I started weighing and measuring myself only on Friday mornings. Also remember when you measure your waist you will be swollen for a few weeks but it also goes down. Write down your measurements Did you take pre surgery measurements? -

I feared that as well. My vice was diet dr pepper multiple times a day. It was easy to give up after surgery when you are trying so desperately to just get down your fluids for the day... Diet coke will be the last thing on your mind... Or at least that's how it was for me Then after about 4 months I tried a sip of my beloved diet dr pepper and eh I could do without... It just wasn't the same. You'll be ok -

Yes!!! I find myself awake all hours of the night. I just cannot sleep. Later in the day I'm exhausted and then wouldn't you know it, I can't sleep again that night. -

They told me not to even weigh myself until after my first post op appt because our weight will be up from all the fluids still in our bodies from IV's Don't worry it will come off really soon. You are still very early post op. -
