I feel out of control
lessofmeismore replied to amytug's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Amy, don't beat yourself up about what you eat pre-surgery. We all have head hunger and real hunger and pre-surgery we have the room in our stomaches to eat it. Post surgery the head hunger is still hard but its different because we have no where to put the food so we learn over time that food doesn't control us anymore because we have been sleeved. Do not be hard on yourself especially don't feel embarassed here because we ALL obvious have one thing in common and that is an issue with food consumption. I pray things work out for you and I look forward to your happy success story!! -

I forgot to add that yes I had many stalls and lots of frustration until I realised every pound is adding up and I'm losing not gaining. I had stalls and then I would drop several pounds unexpectedly. Don't let the scale control you, follow your plan and you will be successful <3 -

My stats, I'm 41...5'2 height surgery date May 15th 2012 Starting weight 220 Current weight 130 My biggest tip would be to drink lots of Water and always eat Protein first then healthy vegetables, if there is room. Try to find a healthy balance that you can do and really try and focus on a lifestyle change that is healthy. We consume so little that its important to our health to make every bite count. I love hearing about everyone's success. Thank you all for your kind words!! It means a lot! -

lessofmeismore replied to debiosbo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hmmmm...that is a tough wait... So is it Washington your trying to research? Does it matter if your living in Oregon or Washington? I would think it goes by where you live and then if the hospital accepts Medicare. If I hear anything I'll post back here. Best of luck!!! It's so confusing that it goes by States -
La Madeliene (sp?) Has great soup and light meals as well Yummy yogurt parfait too!! Best wishes!

We went to see a concert and the seats were ridiculously tiny and the path in front of the isle was impossible small. I was actually consumed the entire time about it. People pay all this money and its horrible. Now that being said I fit in my seat no problem, I was able to escape mid performance, for a bathroom break, graciously. But if I had not lost my weight I would have been SOL Still made me made the entire time because I saw people struggle and I sympathize -

The extra skin reminds me every day how big I was....aaahhhh... Oh well, it is what it is -
Co-signing for someone is taking on the debt yourself if that person stops making payments. The co-signer has to be in a place financially that they can and would do that...otherwise they go down with the ship if the loan is not paid. It's a huge commitment.

How far out are you? Can you ring your surgeons office and ask them if you should worry? I call my surgeons office for lots of things and earlier out I called soooo much. They were always so nice and helpful. My drs. nurse is the sweetest and so willing to help! Don't be afraid to ring them up! -

Pain Meds
lessofmeismore replied to Catherine Shinn Habhab's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You can not have naproxen. Unfortunately non steroids anti inflammatory drugs. NSAID's can cause bleeding and ulcers in our sleeves. You can have acetaminophen and other drugs. I'm pretty familiar with chemical names if you want to list them. You can have opiate/codiene based narcotics as long as they are not compounds with NSAID's -
Iggy, you may not remember but I did tell you on here that something didn't seem right. Now I also know at that time you were saying you already knew what the cause was...internal bleeding...I just want to clarify that I do and have listened to people and tell them to seek further help if they are not getting better. I followed your story closely and asked many questions and was very very concerned. I remember others concern as well.

What medicine do you take for it? There are many approved but it would be easier to just know what works for you and I'll check my list.
