    Frustrated!

I just wanted to add that you never know what the future holds so don't worry and just stick to your plan. I'm at goal at eight months but I certainly never felt like I was flying to goal...just the opposite...at an average loss of ten pounds a month I was a "slow loser" in comparison to others losing during the same time. We are all different with different amounts to lose. Keep the faith!!

I'm getting dizzy lol It's either people are upset with "candy coating" or "meanies" We need a term for people in the middle and start another thread

    Food

It's so hard to pin point the culprit in the early months. I went through lots of that and never really determined the food or cause...I carried zofran with me everywhere..I remember the hurried craze I would be in trying to get that zofran in my mouth before I threw up. Talk with your Dr and make sure all is well and then just try and get that zofran. I wish you the best.

I Have A Leak In My Gastric Sleeve!

Well Happy Birthday...next birthday you will need to celebrate twice to make up for this birthday!! Those meds dehydrate you too so going in for a birthday bag of fluids is a wise decision. Demand for them to give you some versed (sp?) in your iv for your birthday lol my anesthesiologist told me its like the fun of 10 margaritas without the calories or hangover. I hope the culture comes back ok! Youre in my thoughts <3
  11. Sannah, I'm hoping you are doing well. Please give us an update...you are in my thoughts and prayers!!

  14. Definitely write down your nsv's I remember clearly feeling how you're feeling...there are stages to this new journey we are on and you are adjusting. Think positive...it will happen...keep getting support, you need to have that, we all do. I really look forward to hearing from you more as I know 6 months from now you will be helping others with the same feelings and struggles you are having now... And yes consider what works for you, honestly, as long as your choosing healthy choices, you will succeed!! Look forward to being suprised because you are going to lose the weight and your new life awaits!! One day at a time
  15. Deedee, I'm on my phone so I can't see your profile. Can you tell me who your Dr is and where your from..perhaps others here know of a support group in your area.
  16. If you are cleared for foods then eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Only shakes for breakfast and lunch is like a pre op diet. It's not neccesary post op. Eat your breakfast, get full then carry a water bottle with you until lunch. Eat lunch, get full and carry water til dinner And eat dinner etc If you get hungry in between, eat nuts, cheese cubes, or small yogurt. You can do this...even if you like to eat as I do, we eat so little at a time that if we keep it healthy we will lose the weight. Stop weighing yourself and take one day at a time. Next time you want chicken nuggets that's fine just eat grilled nuggets. Even 10 eaten through out the day is on program. It's a healthy protein. Don't feel like you can't do this because you can...please keep reaching for help. We all need it and we are here for you!!! Stay strong!!!<3

You can gain weight after VSG.

Read the first article...I have had uncontrolled high blood pressure since my 20's Since my weight loss my blood pressure is great. I was also pre diabetic and walking around with high blood sugar levels way way too long. That too is now "normal range" So this surgery has been a blessing for me. It is fair to say it has saved my life. Now if I could just figure out this kidney ordeal and what I should eat

You can gain weight after VSG.

Thank you so much for that information. I stress everyday with what I "should" eat now. I want to stay healthy hence this dramatic surgery but now I surely need my kidneys and the pain from that stent yikes so that scares me too. I know I am not the "norm" so finding information is hard. What's so frustrating is most drs I've seen lately have no clue about gastric sleeve guidelines. I have had chronic kidney problems all my adult life but nothing to this degree. I just want to do whatever keeps me healthy. Thank you so much for the info!!

I third that!!! Oh I would love to have had this tool at 18 and lived my life a "normal" size. Congrats!!!
  20. lessofmeismore

Am I ever going to be normal?

There is a healing period and an adjustment time, it varies from person to person but most people are eatting normal by a year out. You won't take in as much but you will be eatting pretty normal.
