Please keep us updated on how you're doing... Hoping this resolves quickly for you
  4. It's definitely a sink or swim scenario we are thrown into! It has forced me to face so many issues that I blocked out with food. Just another reason I wish I had done this sooner...here I am in my forties getting my self together. I would have loved to be in this place in my 20's or 30's

In before the newbies take it over

My stomach has always been my problem area. Arms and legs were always the last to gain. I know how you feel, it is frustrating. A perfect outfit is easily ruined by the excess and I'm afraid to even see what a bathing suit will look like. Yikes

((My arms and legs are getting pretty thin, still lots of residual fat in my abdomen. Not sure how much of that I can actually lose and how much is just going to stay forever. LOL. Surely it will go away eventually!)) That's exactly how I feel... Not sure how much more weight I can lose in my arms and legs but grrrrr this excess skin is hanging onto some padding that's for sure. It sure doesn't feel like its "just skin"
  8. The best way to measure your loss is in percentage lost til you hit goal. Measuring in lbs and comparing to others seems to make people feel they are slow losers.

Risks of Side Effects from VSG

It's a very serious decision. Yes this surgery is life saving but it is major surgery. You really have to decide as an individual what is best for you. I was so sick I wasn't doing anything but dying, living was hard. Now I have my life back. I am forever thankful.

Adding ground beef or sausage to the ricotta bake sounds good. I'm going to do that

My drs goal was 130 and I've met that but i really would feel healthier at 120 so I'm still doing the program to get me there. As long as your following the plan to lose... It can happen

Why do so many struggle with the band

The band has caused really bad complications. But there in we have seen horrible complications arise from leaks with VSG. I see your question but I'm not sure theres an answer... I think only time will tell

    Welcome

I had my surgery in may but it feels like yesterday. I'm not a vet or a new person. I'm just me on my journey... Trying to live it the best I can...hopefully I do it right but lord knows I'm not perfect or I wouldn't be human. If I can help someone else on this journey and find support on mine then I am happy.
