Sleeve to Mini Bypass Revision
pegsue replied to Bogart79's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I have acid reflux since sleeve surgery in 2012 did the MGB take care of the reflux and if so is it still under control? I am looking to have the revision in Mexico I see you used Dr. Illan was it a good experience and is he someone you would recommend. I really don't know who to use for sure in Mexico I really want to get off PPI meds and have no more acid reflux. Thanks for your time. Peggy -

I am looking to have a revision from sleeve to MGB one due to acid reflux and not a very good loss with the sleeve. I was really disappointed in the WL but now really just want to get rid of acid reflux and get off the PPI. Also I will have to go to Mexico for the surgery anyone recommend a doctor in Mexico and did the surgery help your acid reflex? -

I have 1 and 1/2 weeks of the mushy then on to the normal diet. Have not had any problems with this stage so far in fact it is nice to eat something instead of protein drinks and soups. -

Hi everyone I am 58 years old and had my band to sleeve revision on August 14 th and it really has been a breeze.. I found nautral calm plus calcium by natural vitality works great and really fast for constipation. www.naturalvitality.com. I was watching a utube video and can't remember who suggested it, but they said they picked it up from Sprouts farmers market but I'd you don't have one go online and see where else they sale it it really works and fast.. Hope this helps! -

Gingersnap I don't have small children at home but I do have 3 grandchildren and 2 of them are small and when they come to visit love to have nanny hold them in my lap and of course at the same time jealous that nanny might give more lovin to 1 and not the other what a joy they all are. I am so glad to hear even with your hard time you would still do the surgery again. So glad to be getting back on the losers bench again. -

I am having a revision tomorrow August 14th I have had my band since August 7th, 2002 exactly 10 years and one week. I did excellent myself and lost 100 lbs but within the last 2-3 years I have experienced so much heartburn that I had to have the fluid removed thus gaining back all but 35 lbs. I am excited and ready for my sleeve journey.. I will be revised in one procedure at least the doctor is 95% sure. I have been praying God will guide the doctors hand s and let it be in one step safely. -
Revision From Band To Sleeve With Cigna Insurance
pegsue replied to pegsue's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I have been on my pre op diet and have lost 10.2 lbs so far and my surgery is on August 14th. It has gone pretty good I have not been hungry really but my doctor allows you to drink 2 protein drinks a day , and one meal can be a palm size piece of lean meat, and non starchy vegetable and 4 sugar free snacks a day like sugar free popsicles and or, sugar free jello for 2 weeks prior to surgery. Hope you are still doing good and having great success. I will let you know how it goes after my surgery. Peggy -
Revision From Band To Sleeve With Cigna Insurance
pegsue posted a topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I was wondering if anyone knew does Cigna require a revision to do a Psych. Eval. before approving? When I read the policy requirements for revision it did not say anything about it . The patient advocate told me I needed that before she could file but after reviewing the requirements for revision that is not mentioned? I made an appointment but can't get in until July 30th so long what a drag. Anyway is it really required? -

I have had trouble with severe heartburn so I have not been able to have a fill which has caused me to gain weight without any restriction. I sure hope I get approved as fast as you did. My patient advocate was to send in my paperwork this past week I will need to email her to make sure she did infact get it done. When will you get your surgery? Good luck to you, as well.
