Not use to the small amounts of food. I'm overeating and throwing up. I'm not getting in my water, about 1/4 of what I need. I haven't become dehydrated, but if I do, I wouldn't be surprised

Welcome! I'm 3 weeks and 1 day out from surgery. It's an adjustment, but we can do this.

I've had no complications. I went to Mexico for my surgery. I have no regrets. Just having a hard time adjusting to the new life style.

I think I throw up almost everyday. I'm having a hard time relearning how to eat. Probably eating too much. I'm not worried about injuring my stomach.

You have underlying medical problems. I know the doctors in Mexico will do it.

I'm 2 1/2 weeks out from surgery. I'm having a hard time getting in my fluids and protein. I'm tired ALL the time. I'm a stay-@-home mom, so I am able to take it easy.

I'm 2 1/2 weeks out from surgery and I've only lost 20. I hope to start the gym this week. I'm not able to eat much, so I'm always tired.

I had my surgery in Puerto Vallarta by Dr. Lopez on September 21.

I used a Lighter me. I have no complaints.

I didn't tell my in-laws because I didn't want them to judge me. My husband had to tell them once I left for Mexico. They have been very supportive, but I am upset with them because they went around and told EVERYONE!! I didn't want to tell people because I didn't want to be judged. What if I fail?? I don't want people watching what I eat and think, there she goes again.... I'm more likely to tell a total stranger that I've had the surgery. I do NOT discuss it on FB, only a handful of friend know I've had the surgery. I think mostly because I don't want my friends to know how big I've gotten over the years.

I actually up-graded to first class for my trip home. I didn't need help walking. I checked my bag so I didn't have to drag anything through the airport.

I've just started my WL journey, but I have been researching reconstructive surgery. I've looked at DR and also Costa Rica. If I can't get my insurance to pay for it, I think I'm going to go to CR.

I received a bottle of orange Gatorade, one big bottle of Water, with antibiotics, pain meds and prilosec. I paid for my soup, my hot tea, etc. I would have a soft boiled egg for Breakfast and couldn't eat the whole thing..... In the hospital, I had ice chips only....

You have to buy your own food and drink. If you can find someone that has had the surgery you could split something. Soup at the hotel is expensive. I would go to the store at the hotel and get hot tea and Gatorade. You might will want to go shopping. Since you are going to TJ, you could go shopping before you cross the border. I had my surgery in Puerto Vallarta. I felt very safe in Mexico. My husband was worried but he is a cop and since he wasn't coming with me, he was worried about the unknown. You will do fine.

You will check-out of the hotel and take your belongings with you. There was a safe in my hospital room. If you are going by yourself, I would suggest locks for your luggage. Remember whatever you take with you, you have to take home, so pack light!! I took $250 and ended up getting another $200 from the ATM, but I also did some shopping and came back with a lot of money left over. I didn't exchange for pecos, they take the US dollar. I hope I answered all your questions. Feel free to ask anything else. There is no stupid question when you are doing something you've never done before.

My acid reflux has gotten much better. I also have bone spurs in my heals and since I've had my surgery, my feet haven't hurt once!! My back doesn't hurt anymore either...
