  1. When people start noticing (the people i dont want to know bout my surgery) and asking How did i do it.... with me I am just going to say I have cut down drinking alcohol (used to b a big drinker), I'm exercising more and on a high protein low fat diet... And hey I'm not lying???
  2. Today I'm not feeling too good, I feel like I can't stomach anything, don't want my meds or my Protein shake, feel like crap, I can't laugh, sneeze, cough or walk too far with out bottom left of my Tum feeling like a deep pinch/pull/burn!! Felt like I was going to collapse in the shower and needed fresh air as I felt dizzy. All I want is to gulp ice cold Water and even that hurts a little when I sip I get a big gas bubble and pain and try to burp.. I felt so much better the day after my surgery, feel like I'm going down hill, i am losing weight tho.. Any one else had these feelings?
  3. That would be awesome, are they expensive over there though?
  4. 3 weeks liquids only 3 weeks puréed diet Then onto normal food, I am 11 days post op, can't wait for day 21 to go on puréed - 10 days to go!!
  5. I have done it twice now, you get sick of the soup very quick, but lose bout 5kg in a week... U will look forward to steak day
  6. I am on day 9, and still on liquid stage til day 21, i am a bit worried I am able to drink too much, I just made a cup of soup with bout 200-250ml (6.7oz-8.4oz) of water and drunk it in 1/2 hour with little or no pain, my book says I should be drinking 125ml (4.2oz) every half hour... Its not with everything, but i just noticed how quick i just drunk it, I am worried and don't want to stretch my sleeve... What amount is everyone drinking at around 9 days out? Anyone else doing this?
  7. I am 9 days post op and still got the bruises, it's from where the put the blood thinner injections into your tummy, nothing to b worried bout... I had 3 in total
  8. Just tried walking more, then got crippling pain, so that's off my list for now hehe.. My Optifast shakes are 1/2 strength so rather than 200ml, I add 400ml of Water, I refuse to take my pain meds ATM as I can not stomach them... Not sure if we have Tylenol or loritab in new Zealand, what do they do?
  9. Thanks for the encouragement, I will look into the ginger tea thing, that's if I would b able to find any here??
  10. Thank you, I am looking forward to day 7, sick of feeling sick and forcing Protein and meds in me (even tho I havent had any today) the thought of it makes me want to vomit

    Anybody In Their 20's

I usually have no problem either!! But because when you have surgery they blow you up with gas it's a bit harder since the gas isn't actually in your stomach, getting frustrating and the gas pain in sore

I see a lot of people in here all excited to be getting sleeved, I am nervous thinking bout the op day and the complications that go with it, every time i think bout it my tummy turns and my mind runs 100 miles...how would i be on the actual day, feel even worse? but I am excited to think what the future may hold. Anyone else have this feeling?

Thank you so much for the replies, it is great to hear from people who have been thru the same thing as I am going through! I just want everything to be over with. But I know I will have to get through some obstacles first, let's hope they aren't too big! Every time I get worried I will just come back to this post and read the awesome support I am getting, thanks again
