Kallets replied to sylviau's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Days 3-5 were the absolute worst. -
Two weeks for me.

Hi everyone, I'm Stella and just had the procedure on Wednesday, June 13. I am having serious regrets now-mainly due to the gas pain. Has anyone felt like they made the wrong choice? I am scared that this awful feeling will never go away. Thanks, Stella

2 Month Band-Iversary....happy With Where I Am At.
Kallets replied to Rebecca Cain Salpacka's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There are plenty of exercises that you can do to target certain areas. You can lift a 5lb weight straight up over your head then bend at your elbow and lower the weight behind your head. Hold the weight up and down not side to side. Do these slowly. I usually do them during commercials. Holding a medicine ball and turning side to side is a good stomach area work out. There are lots. Google it, you'll find them. Good luck -
Bad Day But Its Ok
Kallets replied to Lovemythreems's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
On My Fitness Pal you can track with ounces. It's really easy. Usually everything is by serving so if you weigh 4 ounces of meat it will tell you how many servings that is. Good luck! Don't give up. I'm about 2 weeks out. -
June 25Th Surgery- Nervous!!!!!
Kallets replied to Daisy0909's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi. I had surgery June 13. I felt the same way right before, however, my doc did not require a pre-op diet for me, just a day before was all liquid. I felt scared, nervous, worried, everything but excited. After surgery, for the first I'd say 4-5 days I repeatedly questioned myself. As time passes, I feel better each day. The worried doubts and thoughts are less and less as I get used to this lifestyle change. Good luck! Remember, in the end it will be well worth it. -
How Long Before You Cleaned Out Your Closet?
Kallets posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi everyone! Just wondering how long you decided to start cleaning out clothes that were too big. Are there certain clothes that you suggest holding onto as you lose weight? -
My incisions didn't have anything coming out. I'd call the doc just to make sure.

Anyone else have an allergic reaction to the surgical glue?
-
I went to the emergency room and they said I had a severe allergy to the tape. My stomach is covered in blisters and welts. It's all incision sites and other parts where the tape touched my stomach. It feels like my stomach is on fire. The er did blood work and everything came back fine. My incisions healed fine. I am just wondering how long before these welts and blisters go away and the swelling goes down.

How Long Before You Cleaned Out Your Closet?
Kallets replied to Kallets's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats everyone! I started dieting after I went to my first seminar in February. I am 9 days post op and am down about 40 lbs since then. I tried on some clothes to go to the mall and I was surprised at how much doesn't fit. I can't wait to just take everything in my closet to good will one day -
Congrats! Happy birthday!

Turns out I had a severe allergic reaction to the glue. Spent all day at the er. It's pretty ugly to look at but I'm glad it wasn't something more serious and I got it before the blisters got really bad.

I know I feel like I'm always complaining, but I am losing my mind. After breakdowns crying because of how hard this is at first, leg pain, laughing pain, gas pain, and all that now my incisions itch so bad I can't sleep. How long does this last??? I can't take it anymore. Right now, I would not recommend this to anyone else. So frustrated. I'm sorry.

Just got home from a day at the er. Turns out I was seriously allergic to the surgical glue. My stomach looks like its covered in blisters. The itching was bad but then the out of nowhere came the bumps. Good luck with the fill! Let me know how that goes.

Hi family girl, As more time has passed I feel much much better. It's still hard some days, probably because it's so new. I'm really committed to sticking to the calendar and outline given to me by my doc and haven't cheated at all, so I think I've realized how often I was eating just to eat, or eating because everyone else was. The mental part is tough. I come to this site, complain, then read what others say and I remember my son deserves a healthy mom. Message me anytime! My name is Stella.

Thanks for checking on me. I'm itchy beyond words and just having a hard time with everything : /. I'm trying to make it best I can. I really appreciate you checking on me.

Thank you guys.

Cograts!!! Super exciting

Thanks everyone. I hope in a month I look back at all this and want to kick myself for being so annoying.

I think I have a high tolerance for pain. I haven't had to use the pain medicine at all and was out of the recovery area in 20 min. I'm allergic to a lot of things and I'm wondering if I'm allergic to the glue. Is that possible? The itch is unreal.

I everyone. I have a tingly feeling in one leg. I called the doc and they told me to wait and see and if it got worse to go to the er. It's not worse but it's really uncomfortable. I had surgery on Wednesday, June 13. Anyone else ever have this?
-
Ugh now I'm scared and can't sleep. The regrets of getting this are bothering me more and more.
-
Thanks everyone. Just watching it now. I'm probably going to head to the doc tomorrow to be safe.
