Hi my name is Helene and I am having my sleeve done Friday, July 13th, 2012. I am excited but also very nervous. I saw my doctor, Thomas Jones yesterday and although he made me feel "warm and fuzzy" I hate going under at any time. I have 2 girls, and yes I made Dr. Jones meet them when he came in..Ha Ha. It took me 10 years almost to the day to have my first daughter who is going to be 6 in July and I have a 6 month old baby girl as well. Needless to say I want to be around to see them grow up, and I hope this decision will help me do so. I have been with my husband for 21 years and we moved to Minnesota from California 2 years ago this August. We have loved Minnesota and haven't regretted our move.
I have been a chunky girl ALL my life, literally. I remember in 5th grade being 120 lbs and getting on the scale thinking, "OK I cannot gain anymore weight, ever"! Obviously that didn't work, but my point is I have been a big girl since I can remember. I am nervous about becoming a different looking person but excited about getting myself the needs to becoming a more active, energetic and physically active person. My husband is a marathon runner, and he hopes that one day I may want to run with him, I told him I would but lets start small, like a 5K in Oct of this year..That is my goal and I think I should be able to accomplish it. I have never been a "runner" so this is a challenge that I am encouraging myself to do after my sleeve. Lets hope I can do it...
I hope you all can make me feel more "warm and fuzzy" I am nervous, but excited.
