Was banded on June 20 and having a hard time drinking my Protein, the smell of it makes me gag and last thing I want is to throw up! This am I tried something different made myself a smoothie! I put a non fat plain Greek yogurt, light soy milk, 1 scoop of whey Protein powder, frozen blueberries, 1 Splenda and 2 ice cubes! 47 grams of protein and it tasted great!!! Welcome!! Sure all of us here been thru the same as far as our weight struggles! I just had my band on June 20 and thanks God my recovery has been almost pain free! Hello, im on my 5th day post op and lately very time I drink 1hr later I feel likeif I just drank a gallon of water! I take my time drinking 4 oz usually 30 to 45 mins! Am I drinking too fast? Had surgery on June 20, 2 days ago and the only pain I'm having is on my left shoulder and last night and today is just getting worst, if I take deep breath it hurts and after I finish drinking it seems to get worst! Is this normal?? How long this pain is suppose to last?? Please help! Thanks

I have Aetna aexcel pos II and it required me to have 3 month of weigh in and doctor visit with my surgeon! So I went to the seminar mid January first appoit was feb last may and it only took 6 hrs for the insurance to approved after it was submitted! I had to go to the nutritionist and psychological evaluation as well! My surgeon have all does in his practice! Now I have a friend who has *** Aetna and she needs a referral from her primary doctor after that the process is the same has to do the 3 month thingy! Oh had my surgery June 20! Had mines june 20 my 4th surgery and the less painfull one. I remember going in the anesthesioly talking to me about merengue ( I'm Dominican ) the he said I'm put this mask on is just natural air and that was last thing I remembered then I woke up minimalain except the left shoulder, as soon as I woke up the got me up to walk the took me for the X-rays to make sure everything was fine made me drink this nasty clear liquid almost throw up then a white thick liquid! After that went back to recovery slept then when I woke up they sai I had to drink 4 oz of water before I get to go home took me like 45 mins! I went in at 5:30 surgery was at 7:40 I went under at 7:43 I woke up at 9:40 went home at 2:30! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk

I was just wondering the same thing

I drink slowly sometimes can't even finish the whole 4 oz.. I notice it only happens when I drink every hour by the 3 hr I feel bloated! Is so uncountable!! Thank u so much for the replies Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
