Fantasy. You are so darn lucky. You never JD it could be as easy as it was for Fantasy. But good things don't come easy. From these forums, atleast I don't feel alone, otherwise I think I would panic about everything.

Wheres My June Bandsters??
sap1021 replied to mcuevas's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Laura, Ill try moving my arms around more and see if that helps. They dont have GasX here in India, but I got some other stuff called Digene chewables, I heard they are good. Had one so far and it helped very little. I guess you are suppose to talk 2-3 a day. Lets see how these work! Either that or I am getting some GasX shipped here because this is getting ridiculoussss! -
Wheres My June Bandsters??
sap1021 replied to mcuevas's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
uiwleelee, im sorry that your going through this like i am, but inside im happy to know that im not alone. the pain on my left side has really been tweeking me out and im hoping that it is just gas pain and that it subsides soon. Not being able to sleep on my left side is making my right side sore from putting all the pressure on that throughout the night. Sleeping on my back is out of the question, I just can't breathe in that position, and I start to get chest pains. I hope this improves. Tomorrow will be my 5th day. -
Had Surgery Wednesday And Feel Awful
sap1021 replied to donna12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Donna, our issues are exactly the same. Probably because we were both banded on the same day. The back pain is horrible and my whole left side aches. I walk and yet no gas passes. I am drinking skim milk and so far have had only 2 very small BM's since day 2. (Day 2 I had diarrhea :-/). Anyways, I am just trying to live it out day by day waiting for it to get better. Keep in touch and let me know if it gets any better for you and any tips you may have, and I will vice versa! -
Wheres My June Bandsters??
sap1021 replied to mcuevas's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Banded on June 13, so this is my 4th day and it doesnt feel much different then the 3rd day. Still having little burps throughout the day. Still feeling full after sipping a little bit of water. I am especially worried because I can not sleep at all on my left side, I mean not even for a minute! I get a sharp pain whenever I try, I don't know why and its very concerning. I haven't seen anyone post anything about not being able to sleep on their left side so it worries me even more. It hurts like hell when I have to cough up phlem, that I try to supress it and just drink little sips of water to prevent the coughing. I am walking as much as possible, basically every 15-20 minutes I get up and walk around for a couple of minutes. Anyone else having sleeping issues. -
Kallets! I thought I was the only one. My stomach makes such loud noises that last forever. ( I am also 3 days post op) I was worried if its because I am not consuming enough. I get full easily even with just water my chest starts to tighten up, so its hard to get any protein down. Hope it improves soon for the both of us!

Day 2 Off Post Op...help...i Feel Like....
sap1021 replied to f1stborn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had mine on June 13, so we are basically in the same boat! Yes, currently I feel horrible, I keep thinking whyyyy?? and why isnt it getting easier quicker. But all things take time. Can't do anything about it now, so I keep trying to look at the future and just take it day by day. I am one day ahead of you and believe me day 2 IS THE WORST! -
I Don't Want This Lap Band......
sap1021 replied to BreBre's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
BreBre, I feel your pain, I just had surgery on June 13 and I keep asking myself why did I do this to myself. From every post I have read though it seems to get better, I have been craving something that I can chew on every minute of every day. Its horrible. And I totally feel the same way. I am also self pay so it makes if even tougher that I poured all that money into this and now I feel such regret. Besides thinking that it will get better, we have nothing else. Just hold on to the hope that it gets better. Thats all we can do. -
Wheres My June Bandsters??
sap1021 replied to mcuevas's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded June 13, and only had one day of a full liquid diet! Honestly I don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing, because getting use to this post op 2 week liquid diet is very difficult. Everytime I smell something cooking I want to attack it. But I just continue to gulp my juice and water. :-/ I get these noises comming from inside, I can't even tell if its my stomach or my intestines trying to suck all the nutrition out of the little bit of juice/soup it gets. Ugh I can't wait till I am on to mushy foods. On day 3, so I have 11 more days of this. -
Right now if someone asked me if i regretted my decision to do the lap band, it would be hell yes. I know I am only saying this because I am in so much pain and basically don't know what to do with myself. If I walk around Im in pain, if i lie down im in pain, My back kills my stiches feel like they are going to rip apart and all I can do is yell at myself why. I am just praying this gets better. I know I am only two days out (surgery was on June 13 2012) but all I feel is that I am a burden on everyone around me. Which makes me miserable. I am in India with relatives which is where I got my surgery done, and all I wish was that I was in my own home in Boston, MA. And to make it even better, my doc decided to go all homeopathic and doesnt want to give me pain meds, or even OTC meds such as gas-x. I know he knows better, but I wish there was something for this pain. I don't even think they have liquid tylenol here. ugh.

2 Days Post Opp And In Pain
sap1021 replied to sap1021's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
just took a nice hot shower and it felt amazing, even in the hot weather of India. I have sent my mom on a search for liquid pain killers. In the mean time I am using a hot compress and its working amazing. Now if I only had a heated blanket lol. Thank you for your suggestions, if the pain hasn't settled some what by tomorrow then I will definitely talk to my doctor about it. He keeps saying it will get better with time, so lets hope its a little better by tomorrow. Thanks everyone -
2 Days Post Opp And In Pain
sap1021 replied to sap1021's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I guess I can try a hot compress on my abdomen. He has me on a cream called Volini? It cools down the stitches, suppose to help with the soreness and pain around them i guess. Judych, I did it in India because I am self pay and I couldnt afford it in the US. I could have probably done it in Mexico, but atleast here I have family. I think I am paranoid with walking because it hurts and I am afraid that my stitches will come undone. But I forced myself to walk as much as possible. Thank you for your encouraging words.
