Post-Op Sleeve - What's Going On Here?
mokee commented on MacSleever's blog entry in MacSleever's Blog
Just wondered if you were on insulin. I am on insulin and am 2 months from surgery. I am hoping that I will get off of insulin. This is one of the main reasons for me having the surgery. Would appreciate if you would either answer here or message me with the details. Thank you. -

Happened to me after a large round of antibiotics for big infection. Then I got CDIF. After about 3 weeks of not being able to eat and diarrhea I went to the doctor and he treated me with 2 more antibiotics and I finally got better.

My Stupid Question #2 -- Good Calories Bad Calories
mokee replied to DanaInNewOrleans's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Dana, I am pre-op and have been reading this site daily for 2 months. The statement about the ice cream and the chocolate is not wise, that is what got us the way we are in the first place. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but you should up your calories at THAT POINT with good carbs like fruit or some kind of vegetable. The occasional treat food would come sparingly after you are at goal and for maintenance as a meal FindingMeMe is doing now. She knows what she can eat and exercise away the next day because she is at goal. Keep reading and you will understand what I mean. Best of luck to you on your journey. -

I agree DON'T ROCK THE BOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I retired after 30 years at one place and i always lived by that moto, no matter what. I have seen a lot of people cause themselves so much grief by rocking the boat.

Could be appendix or even gall bladder. GB pain can radiate all over the right side. Can't you put a call into you PCP and see what they say. Best of luck.

It's Too Early To Be Overwhelmed Or Impatient...
mokee commented on makemyownluck's blog entry in I'll make my own luck
I have the problem of eating something and think I won't eat this for a very long time and my favorite chocolate anything will be gone. But I hope the craving will go away after surgery. I am 1 month ahead of you time wise and I haven't yet mastered all the NUt has said but to be fair I have changed some. I no longer have carbonation, I haven't ate a sleeve of anthing at all (chips, cookies etc) My husband brought home a homemade blackberry clobbler the night before and I had none and it is still on the counter. On the way home from an outing last night I said I was hungry and was but drank water and went to bed. This is all improvements for me. I am more aware of what I put in my mouth than before. So count the little things you are doing and you will be surprised how you are changing. -
If I looked as good as the fat me on that site I would be satisfied. The thin me is really great. They forgot to layer all of our rolls on our stomachs and legs. Should have been a roll button
-
Did you talke to your Gyno or PCP about this? That would be the first step.
-
We spoke about a lot of things for 1 hour. Then I took a test that took another hour. Dumb yes and no questions. You will do just fine. And I also cried at times during the talk because I tend to be depressed. It did't have me fail. Don't worry please of cake LOL. Doesn't really serve cake .

Mine sews over the staples and has never had a leak.
