Best of luck!
-
Best of luck and now go get some rest.

At 3 weeks out I was just starting puréed foods. That looks like a lot for that early.
-
Just try being yourself. That is always the best answer.

Anyone return to liquid?
mokee replied to Kapoorvilla's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That is a lot of protein. How do you get that much with so little calories? Seems that that is too high. Cut back on protein and increase your calories a bit. Maybe that will break your stall. -
How much weight preop did low BMI'ers lose?
mokee replied to corpus girl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I weighed 275 lbs and lost 15 on the 2 week liquid diet. You are so small that I think you are doing just fine. You will probably lose another couple before the 31st. Best of luck. -
4 days in the hospial after surgery?!?
mokee replied to AutismMom's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
What are you having done? Are you having laparoscopic sleeve? Seems like a lot of time. Can't believe insurance would pay for that if no complications. -
1st Day of 2 week preop diet
mokee replied to Dreax33's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your lucky you can have meat. I was on all liquids plus 1 cup raw veggies a day. -
I refused to even take the test where you stay overnight. I know to many people that have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and never use there machines. I feel it is just another money making procedure that they do to keep these places in business. If I had it it is probably gone at over 60 lbs lost. Stay away from the Ambien. I have been taking that over 15 years and am trying to get off of it now. I have not taken one for 2 weeks and am sleeping about 5-6 hours a night by now. Good luck everyone.

4 months post-op.....popcorn?
mokee replied to rxkid2384's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Had it since 6 weeks out -
After the first night dr asked if I wanted to stay another night and I chose to stay. I was not getting out of bed too well and did not feel that I could handle all of my care at home. Is it being done in a outpatient facility? Or a hospital? My dr was a bariatric surgeon of excellence and so was the hospital. I had terrible pain that did not improve significantly for a week. But everyone is so different. You read about some going back to work in a week. You still have time to research him. Best of luck.

You are doing so good. Woohoo!!!

Guess what sleevers. I tucked my shirt today. Wow I can not remember the last time I was able to tuck. And by the way it doesn't look bad either LOL.

Six months out also. Down 68 lbs. it feels great. Funny that you have not lost in legs and hips as much. That was the first thing to go was my legs then my butt. My legs are smaller than I can ever remember them being. You look great, keep up the good work.

I now shop in the regular womens dept. I never realized all the choices you have when you are XL and smaller. Been in the plus size dept for 44 years. So this is so new and fun.

Failing Before I'v Even Started
mokee replied to WeeWers's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When is your surgery? I had food funeral after food funeral before the pre op diet. I ate everything I wanted and everywhere I wanted. Was like a food junkie. But when I started the pre op liquid diet I did not cheat one time and lost 15 lbs. you can do this. Just think of how good it will be when you can get around without a walker. Keep this in mind. We eat to LIVE not live to EAT. -
Weewers I have to eat more carbs than most because I am a diabetic on insulin. My endo wants me on 3 times the amount I actually eat. I do follow all the rules. I eat Protein first. I also follow the 30-30 rule on liquids. I never drink with meals ever. After you have surgery you will find out what I mean. I have to exercise more the plain truth, somehow. I am sorry you are on a walker but those days will hopefully be over after the surgery. Just to give you hope I lost 15 lbs on the 2 week pre op diet. And another 15 in the next month. Then it started to get slower. 3 months later another 36. Now I finally broke my stall of 5 weeks and lost another 2 . Woohoo, I thought maybe it was over for me. Best of luck to you.
-
Guess you must not have much swelling. Many of us, me included, had swelling for up to a week and it limited us on the amount of liquid we could get down. You are very lucky.
-
Hope you are not driving. You're allowed clear liquids. Don't you have any protein powders with you? Drink some tea. If you can find clear broth go for it. Best of luck.

Wow!!! What a difference 135 lbs make. You lost a normal size woman. Ever think of it that way. -
What OTC acid reducer did you take 3 days post op?
mokee replied to heatwhip's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Has anyone stopped using PPI after awhile? And how far out were you? I decided to try to stop and see how I do. I am 6 mo post op. thought I would take tums or rolaids if I do occasionally get heartburn. Hope it works. Am trying to wean myself off of many of my meds. Just stopped Ambien CR 2 weeks ago and am finally sleeping 4-6 hours a night . Have taken it for so many years it was very hard. -
66 here. Sleeved nov 28, 2012. Slow loser. Down only 67 lbs. having a hard time losing at this point. Only a pound in the last 5 weeks. Trying to get back to basics. Need to lose 41 more pounds badly. Want to hit this by my 1 yr anniversary. Sep is my 45th wedding anniversary and planning a big trip to Hawaii. Wish I could be close by then. Any suggestions from the older crowd would be greatly appreciated.

You are all an inspiration. I hope I am at goal in 1 year which is coming up fast. My husband is a trip. We go out and he walks behind me and keeps saying I look great. He says people would never recognize me from the rear. He says my butt and legs are so small. I must have been a real mess from the rear before LOL.

You look great, so young. You look like mother and daughter pictures. Don't know how old you are but you look at least 16 years younger. -

mokee replied to ploveda1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been on it since they removed my thyroid over 10 years ago. I have had it reduced once since I have lost weight. I am down 67 lbs. I am a slow loser but I am losing. Best of luck and take your meds.
